Heck, my grandmother used to break dishes and things when she was drinking even when she wasn't "doing dishes".

I had already finished the drink, but had the wine glasses on the drying rack, and next thing I knew, something knocked into one, and one ended up in a million pieces on the floor.

Kind of bummed about it actually. It was the first set of nice wine glasses I ownded, and now I've lost one.

I once received 2 stitches in my pinky finger from drunken dish washing. It's a perilous thing for sure!
