Does anyone know if there are ANY PS3 deals out there? The only one I have seen this season was on Black Friday at Wal-Mart, nothing since. I am running out of time:confused: My older son asked for braces and a PS3, my hubby asked for a PS3 and my younger son who still believes in Santa, asked Santa for a PS3!
Yea, my teenager is strange and wants braces, he isn't getting them right now his teeth aren't really that bad and I would like to wait until March or April to add that expense. I really would like to get the PS3, I was just hoping that there would be some kind of deal, like a gift card or something.

Your best bet will be getting a bundle. DH has been looking for a PS3 "deal" for weeks now. The only deals for the PS3 are the bundles that usually come with any combination of a game, extra controller, a blu-ray remote or HDMI cable.

If you don't want the bundle, amazon is the best place to get the PS3 because there isn't sales tax.

We got the Costo 120gb bundle with the blu-ray remote and a game. It was $329 plus tax.

I bought a bundle through Dell that had the game, 3 controllers and 2 games for $400. The games are 'older' but the price was good. Then I grabbed a few games on Amazon as their sales came and went. Paid $25 each for Batman Arkham Asylum and Madden 10 around Black Friday.......

I tried my costco and they are completely out! I even tried calling the one 30 minutes away andno luck:-(

One word of warning about the bundles - they are only a good deal if you really want everything that's included. I know that seems obvious, but things like the remote, for example, are really unnecessary. We use our PS3 to watch Blu-rays all the time and we don't have the remote. The HDMI cables can be purchased someplace like monoprice.com for $4.00 (and those are good quality - they will work just as well as the ones in the bundles). On the other hand, if you're looking for particular games and can find a bundle that includes them (and/or an extra controller), then you'll likely save money buying that bundle rather than buying the PS3 and the games (and controller) separately.

That being said, it's unlikely that you'll find great deals anywhere at this point since the PS3 price was recently reduced by quite a bit. Most places are probably not going to be discounting them more than that right now.

Yeah our Costco was out too so DH had to stop at the one 3 hours away when he was out of town for business.

The HDMI cables can be purchased cheaper online thats why we avoided Best Buy and Walmart's bundle.

If all else fails, you can always order just the system from amazon.com and save yourself the tax. That makes it a little bit cheaper if you can't find a good bundle that works for you.

Sorry for the question but i'm not the tech type. So I brought my DS 14 a ps3 bundle. Do i need to purchase some HDMI cable as well?

From what I read on slickdeals, if you buy at sears online through bing (and you sign up for Bing), you can get 20% cashback at this time at sears. So, if you choose instore pickup you can get it before christmas, then in 60 days you get 20% of your purchase price back through bing.

I am not real experienced at bing, but it seems to be getting pretty popular, and perhaps worth a try.

You only need the HDmi cables if you are hooking it up to an HD TV and want it to be in HD.

Try sonystyle.com for a $50 discount if you buy a ps3 and an accessory. It's like getting an extra controller free if that's what you pick.
