I know this is old news around here but the pics I got from a fellow DISer are great! Check them out! :teeth:

Wow, thanks for the photos Scott. This isn't old news to me but then again with three sons, the news of this probably just went over my head. Can someone please give Disney a kick in the pants to start a new something special just for boys!!!!!!? Gosh, even bringing back the villain dinner would be good.

I took my 3 nieces to this last year with our family. They loved it. It's a great time for photo opportunities.

but isnt that the alice and mad hatter one? I was hoping to do the afternoon tea with my daughter for her bday but not at that rate if its taking its place

The Wonderland Tea Party is still there with Alice, this is available *in addition* to that one and is for the children AND adults to attend together. princess:

The Afternoon Tea is still offered. The new princess tea is in the morning. Have a crumpet for me! :teeth:

Thanks for the link, I hadn't heard of this one. I think for the price I will wait until my 3 year old DD is 5 or so. But it sounds wonderful!

The Wonderland Tea Party is still taking place with Alice & the Mad Hatter, but it's set up as a "children only" event. I have heard of some parents getting to stay, but when my DD did it, it was geared mostly for the kids. The Grand Floridian Cafe also offers an afternoon tea, but no characters.

Holy crap...$200!!

Would love to pay $200 then get a CM in a bad mode for that day.

LOL

I'll pass on this one.

so the afternoon one will no longer have princess aurora? I was loooking forward to taking dd for her bday. hum...

I don't think the afternoon tea ever had princess Aurora. It is the Wonderland Tea with Alice. The Wonderland party is mainly just for the kids...you leave them there and come back for them later, they get to decorate a cupcake if I'm remembering correctly.

This one features Aurora and is from 10:30-12:00, $200 for one child and one adult. The child receives a doll, a crown and I think a bracelet, and everyone receives a rose.

thanks for setting me clear- I was under the impression the afternoon tea had princess aurora.

what about all of us "big princessess?" Do you think there is anyway to do this with a couple of adults and no kids?

I'll be there on Thurs. with 2 DDs -- I'll let you all know how it is!

I agree, the price is a little high. I would highly recommend the Princess Breakfast @ Epcot instead. You are guaranteed 4 princesses (they won't tell you which ones), when we went there were 5. My daughter was picked as the "Princess of the Day" and was really treated like one. We have great memories from that day and it didn't cost me close to the $200 that the Tea is charging!

I agree with with of the other posters...nice that they have this type of event for girls, but what about those families with boys? Like me. Why can't Disney create an event that would appeal to my son and other boys his age? It's just frustrating that the boys seem to get the raw end of the deal when it comes to fun events like this.
