Hi - My DH and I are arriving at Disney the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and will be staying for 10 nights. The only PS that I have made are for BD fantasmic package on Thanksgiving day; Ohanas for dinner on Friday (because we are meeting my DH stepdaughter from a previous marriage and her family and we will be a party of 6) after Thanksgiving; CP (again for 6) Saturday morning after Thanksgiving breaifast; and CRT for dinner on Sunday night when we will be attending MVMCP. Do you think that we need to re-think this? I don't want to have to stand in line for hours or get stuck doing fast food the entire time. We are also willing to eat at "off" times. And one of the reasons that I didn't make many PS is because my DH always hates to have to be at a restaurant at a specific time. For those of you who have visited Disney at this time of year, do you think we are making a mistake by just taking our chances for most days of our trip?

Thanksgiving is a very busy week. You can always change a PS, but it's always better to make them ahead of time for a holiday week. I don't suggest arriving at a restaurant without a PS at such a busy time.

Remember, planning where you'll eat, then making that call to Disney Dining is part of the fun!

As far as the week after Thanksgiving, that's different. You can probably get away w/out PSs.

Have a great time!

I agree. Make them--even if it's that morning when you want to eat (assuming it isn't too late!!).
If you still decide not to make PS, at least try to dine very early in the evening, or off hours. Even during non-busy seasons, I've seen couples and groups turned away from California Grill, Flying Fish, Yachtsman Steakhouse, etc when they tried to get in around 7:30-8:00 on weekends.

I'm inclinded to sing along with the choir on this one. Make the PS's! Mickey

Definitely make them-- We were at WDW this past week- which is supposedly much less crowded than Thanksgiving- and we were told 2 hour waits for some of the "spur of the moment" dining we wanted to do!! Ended up eating at the Bar at 50's prime time, because the wait was so long! Jill

I've been there the last 2 years the same time as you will be. We arrived on Saturday 2 days after Thanksgiving. It was busy on the weekend but by Sunday afternoon crowds were gone. The only PS I made was for CP dinner package and I made that Saturday when I checked in. We had no wait more than 5 minutes anywhere and we always eat a sit down dinner. Maybe because it's just 2 of us.

Ooh...make ps's...especially at this busy time of the year. When it is busy...we have waited 45 minutes with a ps...make them, make them, make them.

We never make ps ahead of time--then again we only go in the slower times. If you are going at a busy time and really have your heart set on a certain place at a certain time then I would go ahead and make them.

I am going to follow your recommendations & make the PS. My DH will just have to deal with it and if it is super croweded he will be glad to have them. :D If it isn't crowded we can always cancel. I am going to take the safe route. Thanks for all of your imput!:D
