Proud Papa Moment

Great moment for my son who has decided to follow me into aviation. First solo flight this morning in N6377B, Cessna 152 at Danbury Airport here in CT.

Congrats!

Pretty exciting. I have a couple of friends that are (private) pilots. The one is a bit of a comedian and has a lot of funny aviation jokes. He says "Any landing you can walk away from is a good one" (I've heard that many times), but then adds, "If you can taxi it back to the hangar, that's a bonus".

Looks like he even made it back to the hangar.

1. One of our dear friends was the Chief Asst to the head of the FAA.
2. Due to age and health, she had to give up her pilot's license.

I remember flying, but not since attending Woodstock!
And, yes, my original tickets are framed and on the wall.
