Hello all!

I was just looking to get some opinions (pros and cons) for going at different times of the year. We usually always go in the summer, but are considering going in the fall (Sept/Oct) or maybe even the winter (Nov/Dec) instead of the summer (July/Aug) and were looking for personal opinions on this subject.

What makes going at one time (summer/fall/winter) better than the other for you and your family? I know kids school schedules and parents work schedules play a big role in this, but putting those 2 biggies aside, when is the best time to visit Disney? Please share your reasons with me!

Thanks so much in advance!

We vacationed for the first time this year February 11-16th. This was our first trip during what I'd say was winter. We've been June, July, and twice in October. February was wonderful. Besides missing the winter storm back here that week. We took our son out of school for four days but he ended up only missing two. What luck! I can't say enough how much I enjoyed this time of year. It wasn't hot and humid. I'm not a fan of hot and humid either. Even the first two times when we went in October it was hot. Maybe not summer hot but it was still hot. I realize not everyone can travel in the off season but for the next couple of years or while our DS8 is still in grade school I'm planning a winter vacation. The crowds were so enjoyable because really there wasn't any. Except for the 16th which started the President's Day weekend. We heard about the dance competitions prior to our visit. They never bothered us once and they were enjoyable to visit with in lines at the parks also. The only good part about visiting in the warmer months is being able to swim. Although we did swim it was somewhat chilly for this mom. Even though the parks are open longer in the summer I love February. Besides I'm getting too old to get up at the crack of dawn and stay out until midnight (summer hours) and I need by beauty sleep. :rotfl2:
