PROJECT "X" - Anyone from Canada going?

Hi All,

I have an interest in attending the Project "X" meet in June and was wondering if any Canadian DIS'ers would also be going?

I just checked SWA for "deals" but so far, their schedule is only until June 6th,
the meet is June 17th to June 20th.

I think it would be really great to meet people who feel the same as us.

As of now my ds(9) and I are going. Were already planning a trip for his birthday (june17), so it worked out nicely for us. I think we will be there for a week returning home on the 20th or 21st for the last few days of school.

Are your kids in High School?

My DS is 13 and in Grade 8, but I have been thinking about possibly doing a solo trip (just a few days) and this would be a perfect time.

I have checked airfares, and there was availability from Buffalo to MCO from June 17 to June 21 for $233Can (inc taxes). No idea how much it would cost to get to Buffalo from Toronto, but just considering the options right now.

We just came back from flying out of Buffalo...it is actually quite easy. We drove down the night before, stayed at a hotel and got a taxi (could have taken their shuttle) to the airport. We left our car at the hotel for 2 weeks while we were gone. It is quite a simple drive actually.

I wish that I could drive to Buffalo, it would be sooo much easier!!!

I DO drive, but only locally, I am a nervous wreck when it comes to 401 or major hwy's.

For our upcoming trip, my daughter is going to drive us to the airport and also once we leave WDW to go to our timeshare for a week.

We plan on just taking the WDW transportation for the couple of days that we are on site.

I have read that there is a service available that links Toronto Pearson to Buffalo, so this may be the route I may take. Even so, the airfare is sooo much cheaper that from Toronto, that it makes it worthwhile.

yep, in High School. The exams start June 20th so the weekend before will be for study and sleep, lol.

I am really hoping to go. Just waiting for work to decide if I can have the time off. Just debating about whether to do a solo trip or bring along DH. I would love to meet other people who are as crazy about Disney as I am. Being a part of these boards makes me feel like there is nothing wrong with my obsession.

Me Too!!!!

My son will be away on a Grade 8 school trip, Daughter will be away in UK visiting her grandmother.

I think it would be a great opportunity to share time will fellow DIS'ers as we all love the same thing, Right?

I keep watching to see if Southwest Airlines has their June schedule up yet (past June 6th). My other option is to use airmiles for the airfare.

I am on the fence right now, but it would only take a little push to sway me!!!
My daughter is saying "GO for IT" (but she would, she loves travelling solo)
My son would want to come along (but can't)

I just wish I could win the Super 7
(this would definately push me off the fence )

B-T-W, Why is it that I am going in less than 2 weeks time and am already thinking about another trip????? I MUST be a Disneyaholic!!!
