Project Runway

I was not the biggest fan of his looks, but he did some nice work, but honestly the whole cop out that because he was not getting the praise he deserved he lost his confidence.
Really? I always thought that Swapnil was pretty dreamy with his beautiful piercing eyes. Darn! I just found out they were colored contacts. Heck, he's still dreamy with dark eyes. :bitelip:

HaHa. Actually he is a good looking man, well at least until he pinned his ear back with the ugly silver button.

I just didn't find his personality attractive.

I had to DVR the finale, finally saw it last night. I'll also agree that Ashley's collection was awful, and she won because nobody else had a great showing either. So why not make a statement. Most of her looks looked like something an 80 year old would wear.

I'm really happy for Kelley, seems like a really down to earth girl. She got better and better, but I feel her looks are more "cool clothes" than fashion.

Candace's aesthetic is just not my taste, so it's hard to judge. She definitely has creativity.

So, in the end I would have voted for Edmund. Too basic? Sure. He is capable of doing much better. But he had a few really nice dresses that I just loved. For me, I don't judge the runway by the worst piece someone does, I look at the best.

Bottom line, it wasn't a very strong season. In fact, I think I read somewhere Tim didn't think so either.

Did anyone watch Project Runway Jr.?

I love that they are doing it like regular Project Runway and not the awful show PR Threads. Also I appreciate that the judges said they owe it to these talented young designers to be honest and sometimes harsh on them. I think that is best for these kid based shows because sometimes egos get inflated when the shows are made too easy on the kids. This way the honest critiques will help shape them as they become established adults.

I'm watching and I LOVE that it's the same format. I thought they were a little gentler on the kids but still honest and real with them. From the previews it looks like Kelly will not be pulling any punches.

Yes they were gentle but they were real. That was refreshing. The girl who made the white top and blue jean bottom, I would buy that look tomorrow! However it was clear her hems were not finished. They called that out but didn't fault the design and overall construction over that.

I adored the production set up on Jr. last night. Time to sketch, trip to Mood in ep. 1 with a budget. I'd still like to see what would happen with two days to sew, but it was overall a much better way to show what the talent can achieve during competition instead of making them sprint through an arena to frantically grab up some fabric, any fabric to scramble and put out a design.

The Jr. runway held its own against the regular runways we've just finished watching.

i agree.
I liked it much better than the January 2014 version of Project Runway Junior where each kid had a relative to assist them with sewing.

One thing that was interesting - 2 of the contestants had also been in the 2014 show.
It's Matt on the left and Zachery on the right in the 2014 cast.

Here they are in the 2015 cast. Matt is the top left and Zachary is the bottom right.
I don't remember much about Zachary, but I did not like Matt in 2014 at all - he was really cocky and I remember him making negative remarks about the other designers work.

I thought I had recognized a couple of them I'm enjoying show and thought they did a good job for their first challenge. I agree with the judges on the first contestant leaving.

FYI Sue, there is a spoiler for the Project Runway Jr show in your last post. I have not seen the show yet but now I know who is auf'd.

Once a show has aired, it is not considered a spoiler.
This isn't the Project Runway JUNIOR thread so yeah, it is a spoiler IMO.

I would not have read a Junior thread until I had seen the show.

Sorry about that. I didn't consider it a spoiler since the show had already aired. I looked for a Jr thread and didn't find one. I've always thought a spoiler was information on future show results. Does anyone know of a Jr thread?

Spoilers are any important information vital to the plot. With reality t.v. I think it is 48 hours is nice since people DVR. I didn't see a Jr thread that's why I was posting here.

I it would be a spoiler if you post immediately and the west coast didn't see

When someone CHOOSES to watch later- then just don't read any PR threads

I got the spoiler talk when I mentioned Swapnils clothes on the Blog - and since his stuff was never on the final episode - I was like "huh"???? ;)

sorry - I didn't think it would be considered a spoiler after the show was shown on both coasts.

I'll edit it, but it may not matter since it's almost 48 hours, but I'll keep it in mind for future.

I like it when there are separate thread - the thread about the show, and one that has "SPOILER ALERT" in it's title about the show.

This past Runway season twice I wound up not being able to watch the show until a week later, so even 48 hours wouldn't have been long enough.

Contacts?!? Darn, I'm so disillusioned. They definitely suit him.

I do not open this thread until I have watched the show. I think that is the best way to prevent a possible spoiler.
I agree. On those weeks that I was delayed on watching, I did wait to read this thread until I'd seen the show in question.

However, the "spoiler" comments were (I believe) directed at the person who make comments about the current Project Runway JUNIOR show, and someone reading this thread (who hadn't seen that particular show) had it spoiled for them.

It would be best if this thread remained on Project Runway (yeah, I know, it's over) and there were a separate Project Runway Jr. thread. OR change the title to indicate that Project Runway Junior is also being discussed here.
