Project Runway

Happy with the winner...............didn't like Alexandra at all, so glad she didn't.

Glad that Dom won too! Loved Justin as well, thought he definitely deserved to go to fashion week. Like some of Alexandra's pieces, very commercial. Thought she was too arrogant at the final runway. Also, her face contorts weird when she cries, looks kinda scary.

I really liked Dom, Alexandria & Justin's collections but Dom was definitely my favorite. She seemed to have the most range and her skill with color & prints is amazing. Alexandria's collection was really cool but it was repetitive. Bradon had some cool prints but overall, I didn't care for a lot of it. I cannot believe one of his models spilled coffee on their dress. Why didn't he take the coffee away from them?? Justin handled the last minute model substitution in stride and his unconventional piece was a show stopper!

I've liked most everything Dom has done all season, I think she definitely deserved to win. I liked all of Alexandria's pieces except the telephone book. I thought Justin had some nice pieces but overall I did not like his collection.
I can't say a single positive thing about Bradon's, in fact I'm not even sure how he made it so far.

I'm also happy Dom won. She just seems to be quite gifted. She was so good that I had figured she came from a more well-to-do background with all kind of education in her craft, and I was really surprised to hear she was working two jobs just to get by, was raised by a single mother, etc. Kudos to her.

By the end I was pretty much team anyone BUT Alexandria. I completely agreed with the judges about Braden's stuff. It didn't feel like a cohesive collection. I really liked Dom and her clothes, but was rooting for Justin. Overall I am happy with the winner.

I loved the collections for both Dom and Justin.

What was up with Dom's dress last night? I thought it was awful!

Sometimes I just do not get fashion. For example, why the judges liked Alexandra's collection so much. I do. not. get. it.

I went into the finale rooting for Justin, but Dom's collection was undeniably the best. I think she has a really promising career ahead of her!

Did you see the scene in which he tells his models to keep their food and drinks away from the garments (which I would think would just be common sense)? If I were him, I would have been spitting fire.

It looks like Ken is going to bring his diva antics and it looks like Tim Gunn is going to have none of it at the reunion next week. Should be good.

I'm scratching my head too. In the mini 3 show, they though Alex's stuff was to commercial and not runway. I did like her stuff in the final show. However, I see it at a Lord and Taylor level, not runway. It was nice stuff, but nothing we haven't seen before. I though Justin's stuff was much more innovative with the 3D printing and test tube dress. He could remake the test tube dress with a feathery fabric and it would be red carpet ready.

Brandon's stuff was nice, not runway, and not a cohesive collection.

Before the show even started, I knew Dom was going to be the winner. There was no way they were going to let Tim's save win.

Did anyone watch the reunion last night? I always enjoy the updates. Ken seemed like a changed man and I am glad the guys were able to move forward from that. Also that no one like Alexandria at all. Helen needs to get a grip.

I like how Jeremy owned calling out Braden on being overly dramatic by proposing on the runway. I thought it was strange when it happened...let me propose on a stage with a bunch of people but not the love of my life which he'll see on tv in 4 months. whatever.

I like how a lot of them pretty much called the show out for being fixed and saying the judges have their favorites. I've been feeling like that for a while. I know "reality" isn't "real" but this show doesn't bother to even try to hide it anymore, imo.

Yet I still love it and still watch. lol

I agree! Fashion is so subjective so I don't know how the judges can not let personal preferences filter in some way. I just wish they'd be more consistent about judging the challenges instead of the designer's body of work. But even the winning designers were saying they felt like they were favored so it was more than sour grapes.

I know it isn't how the show is set up based on "One day you're in and the next you're out", but, I prefer they look at the designer's body of work instead of just that one runway. I loathe when someone SUPER talented goes home because they had one bad challenge.

I finally got around to watching the final episode last night (between trick or treaters). One question-didn't they used to have 3 designers showing at the Fahion Week? At what point did they increase it to 4, and why? Or was it always 4 and my memory's bad!?

I think that they usually do take the body of work into account. I don't think Dom won that many challenges but she was consistently in safe and produced quality work. Glad she won.

BTW, is anyone watching All-Stars? So glad Jeffrey and Seth Aaron are back!

Ok, I didn't remember that. Were there others?

Looking at the PR wiki, they had 4 in seasons 9 and 10. There were also a couple of seasons where they had a few people create mini collections to duke it out for the last spot.
