Is there a Project Runway thread? I didn't see one but I'm known to miss the obvious at times, lol. Season 12 started last night, any comments?

That was a new one last night? I recorded it, but I thought it would end up being a repeat. That would have been OK, though-I love Project Runway. Did they show any auditions? They did last year, and I was so excited that Mando was one of the judges.

They have started a new Project Runway. A few things are different. One of the "old" contestants came back due to "viewer voting" and I really think that gives an unfair advantage versus the new contestants. Tim gets one veto of the judges choice to go home. The judges get to examine the clothes on the models--not just look at them going down the runway. (should eliminate last minute glue and "tacking" something together)

They also let one contestant get away with breaking the rules much to Heidi and Tim's disgust.

SPOILER ALERT FOR THOSE WHO HAVEN'T WATCHED IT YET BELOW......

I really think she should have been the one to go home last night. I don't think it was fair to the one who did go home when she made her garment from the parachute material according to the rules.

This season, after one episode, already looks better than the entire last season. I'm already looking forward to next week.

I agree about this season already looking better than last year's as far as the talent goes.

I am sad that Michael Kors isn't back. He's so funny! I really missed that humor last season, and will again this season. I miss his little closed-eyes turning of the head nodding thing ::yes::. My husband and I do that all the time.

I like the addition of a veto for Tim and the fact that the judges can actually inspect the clothing.

They are gonna keep those 2 from WI for the Drama factor. I felt so sorry for that one model. and the that had her bits hanging out. Loved the top 2 dresses.

Also new is that the judges don't know who designed what as they are watching the runway show. I thought that was the most interesting new thing for this season. :thumbsup2

I love Project Runway no matter what but after about 5 episodes last season I kinda started to skim the episode and fast forward after I knew what the challenge was. I love who won though!

I really really like that they have the models come down and they can inspect the clothes closer. I already have ppl I am pulling for. I am so happy it is back!

I am so glad you said this. DH and I now do what we call Michael Kors nod to each other. And we mimic Heidi's "Hello" she has said it the same way every episode.

I miss michael too. Can you imagine what he would have said about the model in the short shorts. I would love to see the outtakes form past seasons I have heard that sometimes he just would crack up even more that what we saw.

Just watched this weeks and last weeks episodes. Love Project Runway and love the changes they made. The fact that the judges do not know who designed what makes me happy. I thought there were times before where they scored done designers based on their expectations of them. It may still happen for final judgement, but first look and scoring should be more fair.
I really have to say that the guy who only uses sustainable materials really needs to go. I applaud his ultimate goals, but he is annoying as heck! And the Russian. All I can say is W.O.W. entitled anyone? I did sort of like his outfit this week, but his aesthetic boarders on the ****ty!

I cracked up when Heidi said "what do you think' MINA"! They do read FB after all!

I'm watching it now and I'm on the audition tapes and interview part. I don't know if I'm going to end up watching the whole season. So far, I don't really like too many of these people.

Timothy (the sustainability guy) gets on my last nerve. He has got to go. Otherwise, I am enjoying this season, so far. I like the changes they've made.

I don't think they should have brought Kate back. They've been focusing way to much on her and she's so full of herself it's annoying. I really like the guy with the English accent though, I think he's going to go pretty far.

I think the wrong person went home this week. Helen's was really bad.

I agree about Kate. I wish she hadn't been brought back and I don't think he dress was good. I liked the green outfit this week, and Braden is my favorite overall.

I have a soft spot for Sandro.:( He seems so frustrated and that one guy telling him to speak proper English was really rude.

Okay PR fans! What did you think of this weeks show?

I loved that it was another unconventional material challenge, but other then advertising, I really didn't see that they needed the first bit. The never mentioned the "inspiration" words or how well they inspired the words. Seemed pointless to me.

I loved the top two looks, but kind of wish the sweater/monster dress had won. As much as I liked the sombrero dress, the front of the skirt bothered me. It was just a little awkward for me.

And the bottom two looks were bad. As happy as I was to see Happy Unicorn guy depart, his look was better then the other. However I like both those guys, so glad they stayed.

I also like the changes. I have to wonder if Heidi will go through the whole thing each week? It is like enough already, we know Tim Gunn will be there, but not judging. And we know it is a blind judging, but really only kinda since you know who is what look before the final decision. I think if they had not known who did what before decision was made, one of the other two guys might have left.

I loved that monster dress and so want it.

Glad to see Timothy go but I wouldn't have minded if both him and Miranda got eliminated. I'm not liking her either for some reason and as annoying as I found him she was just downright rude and mean to him from day one. Makes me wonder how random that button bag really is.
