Project Runway, season 6, official discussion thread.

I really thought Christopher should have won last night. I'll be glad when the guy that did win goes home. He designs mostly junk.

I do agree with you on Christopher. That dress was magnificant. They probably did not choose it because of the bare shoulders which was a no-no for the Victorian era.

I still I think the judges are high on crack this season.:rolleyes1

As far as Louise, my guess is she is NEXT.;)

That's my guess too. I was *really* surprised she stayed.

If you watch the model show afterwards, they show you next week's previews. It's almost a spoiler for Project Runway if you can remember which designer has which model.

Me too. His design was beautiful. He is probably my favorite.

The Ice Queen guy is annoying and I just don't like his designs at all. Even this one was so predictable. It reminded me of the the dress from narnia and so I had already named it the Ice Queen dress, lol. So, I'll be calling him the Ice Queen guy also. :)

OK, I am going to defend Ice Queen guy.:lmao: I don't find him annoying, I find him hilarious and his dress was pretty.

However I do not think he should have won. You could see right thru the dress. It was a halloween costume.

he can be pretty funny. I so agreed with him and Tim about the other guy's dress frm last week about the bird attacking it. Ice Queen guy's reaction made me  I thought the dress was pretty also--just not a winner. I think his hair annoys me as much as anything. A decent haircut would improve his look. I hate that I'm always looking at the hair...:rotfl:

I thought the western wear was spot on, but I agree that Christopher's should have won. Johnny annoys me. He's very full of himself with not much to show for it.

I'm glad Fatma will be gone. I wonder if the producers wanted to keep Vanessa so that's why they forced the designers to select new models.

Yep, he needs to WASH it too. :rotfl2:

Oh, I just found this thread. Love PR, for some reason I missed the first 30 mins of this week's episode but I saw the runway show and judging. I enjoyed most of the creations but I think I would have sent Louise home based on overall performance.

If that happens again, just watch the model show & then they will re-run Project Runway and then re-run the model show, etc... I don't know how many times they re-run them back to back like that though.

I'm forever forgetting it's Thursday until late. It was after 10 this Thursday, I think it was the 2nd run of the Project Runway and they were just starting to sketch when I turned it on. Watched the model show & then watched the bit of Project Runway I missed when they re-aired it.

Last nights show was so painful to watch. I felt so bad for Christopher. I really liked his shirt dress. The Macy's rep must have liked it too, cause she selected his designs to be made. I wasn't crazy about the other garmet, mainly because it was to big for the model. The neckline was nearly the same as the one from his dress from last week, the same one the judges LOVED.

I loved the winning dress. I though it was so cute. I did not like the other outfit. The blouse didn't look like it was made very well. It didn't look symentrical to me. The "look" was nothing new. I've seen it many times.

I wasn't crazy about the 2nd teams garmets. I didn't like the jumper with the leggings. I thought it was very "1970's".

I HATE HATE HATE how they have different judges all the time.:sad2: The instructions they are given just don't "mesh" with what the judges seem to be "looking for".

Please bring the show back to NYC!! If you must film in LA, then please use the same set of judges w/ 1 guest judge.

I have to say I really did not like Christopher's design. I felt so bad for him, crying his eyes out, esp. when he was called electric pumpkin. The butt on that outfit was AWFUL!

Epperson & Christopher just did not get it together. They did blow that part of the challenge completely.

I do NOT know why they did not slam Althea for her poor design when the skirt was riding up the models behind.
Overall they all deserved to go home.:lmao:

All of the designers had an INC "look book" and had some idea of what they were supposed to design. I can't believe that Christopher and Epperson thought that shirt dress was going to impress the judge from Macys. It just didn't look like ANYTHING I've ever seen with an INC label. I worked across the street from a mall with a Macy's for over 3 years and I purchased several INC pieces at Macys; they are classic, normal clothes. Plus the teal bubble top had nothing to do with the shirt dress. Just 180 degrees from each other.

Same problem with Louise's ruffles and "appliques" - it just wasn't the look for this challenge. I'm sorry she got cut, but she missed the boat on this challenge.

I loved Christopher and Epperson's designs and would wear either one of them. I WANT that shirt dress right now!!! LOL! Clearly the Macy's rep thought Chris' ideas fit the Inc line or she wouldn't have chosen him as a team leader. I don't understand why the two outfits had to have anything to do with each other either. Just because they are in the same line doesn't mean they have to hang on the same rack. I really didn't think they deserved to be in the bottom two AT ALL. And, it isn't surprising that they thought they did well since Tim Gunn seemed to love their work and even indicated that they had reinvented the shirt dress. I would have been floored to be in the bottom after that remark.

Of the winning team's designs I only liked the blouse and top. You'd have to be an A cup to be able to leave your house in that dress. I'm a DD:rolleyes1 I'd be arrested for indecent exposure!!:scared1:

I'm so glad that they didn't send Christopher home because right now, he is my favorite designer. I wish they would for the love odfmy sanity STOP with the team challenges! Let their work stand on its own!

Irina, Shirin, and Carol Hannah are the obvious three to win, honestly. They are consistently great, IMO!

I agree.

At this point in the show on EVERY single previous season, I can name the winner correctly. I like those 3 but none of them are super-wow.

It looks like next week everyone is totally stressed !

Also -I was looking at INC today at Macy's-lots of slinky, bright colors, simple designs-70's and retro abound. That shirtwaist dress was totally not their lokk at all!

:scared1:

Epperson seems like he does not get along with anyone...he had trouble in the other partner challenge too. I also don't get the whole partner challenge, it really doesn't show what one person can do...but I guess it shows you can work with a team? :confused3

Then the Macy's represntative shouldn't have chosen him as a team leader and Tim Gunn should have told them it was all wrong. Personally, I loved it and want one!:goodvibes

I love shirt dresses, and wear them all the time. But the thing about shirt dresses is that they need to be tailored and well-fitted. They're a very classic look. Christopher's wasn't.
