Project Runway - Season 3 Official Thread (SPOILERS!!!)

Okay, I can see why Angela was eliminated.
I think you mean Katherine?

Wasn't Angela the one who made the '80's poufy skirt w/the pinwheel things stitched onto it?

I am still getting the names straight......

However, Keith was arrogant about the whole challenge. I think he is worse than Santino. Santino was out there with design but he never totally ignored the challenge.
I think Santino did ignore challenges. I can't remember specific challenges(bad memory :teeth: ). But, I do remember every week Santino was in the bottom of the pack. And usually Nina and Heidi would read him the riot act about listening to his client. Because he would ignore what his clients wanted and he would just design something he wanted. He finally started listening to the judges by the end of the season though.

I hope the producers are not trying to turn Angela into the Wendy Pepper of this season. You know... the contestent everyone hates, is extremely mediocre, but somehow manages to skate by because every week the judges decide that someone else did "worse" than her.

While I didn't like Katherin as a designer, that monstrosity Angela created should have been enough to get her eliminated. It actually made me think of the Barbie challenge from last season because it was something no real person should ever wear! I think Keith got lucky with his failure to complete the dog outfit. I liked Bradley's outfit, even though it didn't look well constructed. Volume is in right now and was a big trend for last fall and spring (think classic Balenciaga, Marc Jacobs bell coats, Fendi skirts, etc) and was probably a big influence when PR was filming. That is probably why the judges loved it so much. However, the volume on Angela's ugly skirt was just done wrong, in my opinion.

And a thought on last week's episode (I was at WDW when it aired and just watched it last night.) Even if Kayne loses Project Runway overall, he is set for life in the pagent dress business. Winning the Miss USA challenge will assure him of pagent girls beating down the door to his shop until he decides to retire! This exposure could make him more successful than if he actually won Project Runway.

Can't wait to see who gets kicked off next week!

I totally agree w/you! Her outfit did look v. Barbie Doll-ish!!!!

LOL! I actually liked the most of the stuff Wendy Pepper did.

I just do not like Angela.

With way too many colors! :rainbow:

Ha! Except for Angela, herself!

She should have been eliminated for creating something that she had already created AND WAS WEARING!

Gee, how creative do you have to be when you've already created it before? I liken it to chicken soup. Every time I make it, I can do it with my eyes closed and it always tastes the same. I'm sure if I sewed the same thing over and over, I'd be quick at making it, too, and I'd have mastered the art of finishing it, too. (Even if the design was hideous from the start. :rotfl: )

Me either. But Wendy did at least have some bright shining moments...remember her Banana Republic dress? That was beautiful. Angela has yet to show anything of that calibur.

I wonder what Angela would come up with if given the mail uniform challenge?? That would be scary to see!! :rotfl:

I can't believe that Bradley and Keith got away w/just the little collar! At least Bradley made the collar for the dog ... Keith just stitched on a small piece of fabric onto an existing collar!!!! I thought the idea was to make the dog a matching outfit ... and I don't consider a collar an outfit. I consider a collar a matching "accessory"!

Meanwhile, Katherine makes a dress (plain, but wearable) for her model along w/a hoodie for the dog. She completed the task!!!! Bradley and Keith, in my opinion, did not complete the task!

I thought this show was about completing the task as well as making a fashionable, wearable outfit! While Keith's dress was gorgeous, where was the dog's outfit? And, Bradley had the outfit for the model (heinous as it was), but where was his dog's outfit?!

Keep in mind that the "producers" have a say in who stays and who goes - the producers are trying to make sure the ratings are high - and the producers are looking for a "good story" some of the designers are talented, and gifted, some are just trying to make it in the industry, some know that an "out there" personality can help them - and You have to admit, there are no alliances!! oooo unless someone aligns with a ... nah that wouldnt happen!! :rolleyes1

I love the film commercials about the next week and someone is asked to leave in the middle of the night - someone on another board did an analysis of the color of the rooms, etc and has a great educated guess on who is asked to leave!! And on the bravo site they have a preview which gives a clue to what the next challenge is....

Good TV does influence who stays and goes. I think Vincent will stick around past his due date because he brings the crazy and the crazy is very important in reality TV. Although Nina Garcia does seem to love him quite a bit. I did like his Miss USA gown, though. I thought it was lovely, minus the sleeves.

Aurora63 You are correct. Wendy did make a lovely dress in the BR challenge. I had forgotten about that. A friend of mine actually bought it and she looked very sweet in it.

I just reviewed the runway pictures at bravotv.com and right now I'm loving Uli, Robert, Alison, and Jeffery. Michael is growing on me. Laura seems to be limited to sparkles and fur collars and cuffs.

Here are my theories on who will be asked to leave tomorrow night: Keith or Bradley. Keith because there have been some rumors that he plagerized one of his portfolios and he just seems shady and I think I detect a bit of a "rules don't apply to me" attitude. Bradley...well... to me he seems like he could just breakdown at any moment.

We shall see tomorrow night!

My thoughts on who gets kicked off next week, is that it's Kayne and it will have something to do with his Miss USA dress. Doesn't he own a pageant design shop? Just a guess, but I think he sent his Miss USA design to his shop for production and sales. If Project Runway is the owner of the designs, at least through the end of the show, that would be in violation of the contract.

I was thinking it might have to do with the Miss USA thing too because I don't think she wore the Project Runway design in the Miss Universe pageant. (Actually, someone correct me if that is wrong because I missed that part of the pageant, but looked up their stuff on the Miss USA website and it showed their outfits from the pageant. Her evening gown was some red thing that looked nothing like the one Kayne designed.)

Actually she was wearing the dress at the end of the pageant. DH and I watched just to find out! :happytv: The other finalists had on very sexy looking dresses. I felt like Miss Isa's dress looked more like a prom dress or a typical "pageant dress", not an evening gown. I felt sorry for her...

Giving this a bump...tonight's the night. everyone!

Thanks! I missed that. Like I said, online it showed the red dress as her on-air evening gown. I wonder who broke the rules then? I can't wait 30 minutes! :Pinkbounc

Ok it's a guy, not michael, vincent, or Kayne. That's what I got from the commercial. Anyone?

Also not Robert. That only leaves Keith and Jeffery, right? I'll bet on Keith!
