What did you take a picture of today?? :goodvibes

Today, DH, DS, & I are going to see my mom and dad's cabin for the first time, so it will probably be a pic of that! :thumbsup2

i'm putting birthday party buckets together. so maybe a pic of them all done!

no not really. but maybe!!!!:rotfl2:
ya know that after i typed it i thought about the *special bucket*!

ds is doing his party at the pool AGAIN this year. and they are the party favor. my family is really big on the favor part of the party. so his theme is going to be beach balls.
so i bought red, green, yellow and blue (colors of the ball) beach buckets and shovels and i'm filling them with goodies. so far i have under the sea workbooks, bags of swedish fish, sea life creature rings, beach balls, goldfish crackers, swell up towel that has a beach ball on it.
i need a few more things to actually fill them up. then once they are filled i wrap them up and tie some red, green, blue and yellow ribbon around them and make it all nicey nice.

ya got suggestions what else i can put in them? i'd love to have some ideas.

Little bottles of sunscreen? Water bottles? Swim goggles? Those balls that absorb the water and "splat" when they hit the floor or each other?

Those sound really cute and fun. What about some sunglasses or flip flops or sand toys or a flexible frisbee?

Good luck!

My picture will either be of the airport when I go pick DH from there tonight or of DS at a Boy Scout Eagle Court of Honor for one of the boys in his troop. DS will be leading the new Eagle as well as all the other Eagle Scouts in the audience in the Eagle Pledge.

PO3- That sounds so cute!!

Today is my front door open...DH opened it, which is such a surprise :rotfl2: I asked him about it, and he said he wanted to open windows too, you would think it's 70 out instead of 50

ETA: So I go to get my pic, and there is my dog looking out the door. She hasn't seen this view of the front year since the fall. She looks so happy...THAT is my pic

WAY COOL DIT!

Side note on the scouts- DH was a cub and scout leader when DS20 was a young'in. He had a great group of kids, all different backgrounds. There was this one boy who just loved him and loved scouts. He didn't have a dad in the picture, and DH always made sure he was OK for trips and sleepovers. Well, DH and DS20 stopped scouts after a while, and DH lost track of the boy. A couple of years ago, he gets in invitation for this boy's Eagle ceremony. DH goes, and had no idea, but he was the guest of honor. The boy pinned DH, and said he changed his life. DH was in purple puddles, as am I writting this. You just never know how you are going to change a kid's life, and scouts is such a great thing! You must be really proud of him!

thanks guys! i think i need one more thing to fill it up. so i'm going to find either sun glasses for goggles and that'll do it. i forgot that i had the crazy straw and ring pops in the ball colors too.
thanks for the ideas! they are looking good so far!

now i'm off to decorate little valentine mail boxes for his teachers. i bought rub ons and ribbon. hope it comes out cute. and i bought teacher binder clips and teacher sayings self stamps w/a target card to put inside.
wish me luck!

great story Deb. how special for you husband. that made me smile. how very sweet that he remembered him.
:goodvibes

Today was Owen trying to pry open the bedroom door with a wooden stick from the tinker toys. Ok, not so funny by itself, but my husband is a locksmith, among other jobs, so jimmying doors is a common enough sight.

What about water bottles to add to the beach ball baskets?

Debbie, that is a wonderful story. How great for your DH to find out that he made that much of an impact in that boy's life. Awesome!!!!

DS led the Eagle Pledge as planned, but he was also presented with a mentor pin by the boy who just made Eagle. DS was so surprised and quite thrilled. So, my picture is of the 2 boys together after the ceremony. This boy is going to give my DH a mentor pin also. Dh is on an airplane flying back from Californa so he couldn't be at the ceremony. His pin will get presented to him at a troop meeting. I'll have to be sure to take my camera to the meetings until that happens to make sure I get a photo of it!

how great is that Stephanie! that's a very good pic of the day. Congrats to your son and you husband for both being a mentor to this boy.
another great scout story. i'm really enjoying these today.

Owen jimmying the door is funny! you dh will love that pic.

all great pics today ladies!

i'm so glad we are sharing our pics. they make for nice stories.

That is wonderful! You never klnow how much of an impact kindness can make on another person.

My husband and I both coach bowling so today's pic will be of my husbands team. They placed 3rd in a tournament today, beating us out by only 9 pins.

Yesterday's photo was a family bday party - -the bday boys (twins). Altough I am a little bummed, becuase I didn't realize until now that it was the 8th, which was my mom's bday.

Oh man Susan, was your Mom mad? Mine would be. Really mad. Like she didn't talk to me for three weeks after that. I need to forget more often. :lmao:

Ended up taking the cat shot. Thought I wouldn't have to use it yet, but all the boys did was play Halo Wars and I've got that already.:sad2:

My photo yesterday was of my DS12 climbing out of my canned good cabinet after he had wedged himself in there to hide from DS8! Priceless!! To hear the giggles of the boys throughout the day was GREAT!!!
