Progressive Dinner Recommendations?

Going to Disney next week with our family and I want to take my wife out for a nice dinner. With so many great restaurants it is tough to choose one. We are staying at Boardwalk so I thought about walking over to Ecpot and trying a few different countries for dinner. Does anyone have any suggestions on maybe doing a progressive dinner through out Epcot? Maybe a place for drinks/apps, main course and then dessert/coffee. Thanks in advance.

Have you been to WDW before? Are you aware of ADRs? In other words, dining reservations? Next week is the President's Day week, and will be crowded. You might have difficulty getting in anywhere without an ADR or a long wait.

While a progressive dinner sounds wonderful in theory, you would only be able to get one reservation, and would have to just hope for the best with the others. Not saying this isn't possible, only that a great deal of planning and flexibility would have to go into it. I'd recommend that you at least make an ADR for your entree course.

Yeah I have been to Disney World multiple times and never really had a problem getting in to restaurants but maybe that has changed recently? Everyone on here talks about making reservations. I also didnt know President's week was a big deal but I see in all of the park calenders that is will be a busy week, not sure why? Anyway maybe my progressive dinner will have to happen outside of the park.

I think you'd be better off. The lounges of the Swan/Dolphin restaurants are my favorite spots for a progressive dinner. Maybe an appetizer at Kimonos, dinner at Bluezoo and then back to the Swan for dessert and a nightcap at Il Mulino.

Presidents week is always busy as most of the schools in the Northeast have Mid-Winter break. Considering that folks that live in New Englang just had a major Blizzard you can bet that they are all looking forward to some Florida sun and warmer weather:thumbsup2

I would suggest drinks and apps at bluezoo and maybe see if you can get an ADR for Teppan Edo or another country near the International Gateway for your entree and then back to the Swan or Dolphin for dessert.

You could start with apps and drinks at one of the boardwalk resorts. Most of them have a bar and seats there don't require a ressie. Since you'd likely be early to give yourself time to walk to dinner, seating at the bar shouldnt be an issue. Id look at the menus and see what looks appealing. Then, I would make a dinner ressie for Epcot for wherever you think you may want to go. For dessert, I'd recommend the boulangerie in France (chocolate eclairs are yum!). It's quick service and you can probably grab a seat somewhere and watch illuminations by this point. Or head back out the international gateway and head to Beaches and Cream. No ressies required for them either.

If not, Id just try restaurants in Epcot. Ive been in peak time in June and able to switch ressies before at the last minute. You may just have a wait if you plan to walk up or plan to get turned away. You could also make a ressie for apps, then while you are there call the dining hotline or use an app and make a ressie for dinner based on what is available an hour later, then when you get to dinner, do the same for dessert. This could actually be fun and make it a bit spontaneous :-)
You could make ressies for all three if you book them two hours apart. Or you could just book the app under your name, dinner under your wife and then dessert under your name. As long as it's two hours apart between your app ressie and your dessert ressie then the system would let you since dinner would be under a diff email. You can also call the dining hotline and explain your situation. They have allowed me to book double in this instance before (for me our party was splitting up, but I wanted all ressies under one email).

If it fails, you could always focus on CS. Nachos or something in Mexico w/ drinks for an app. Fish and chips for dinner. On to France for dessert etc. Good Luck!
