Thank you. It is the colors -- I haven't used paint shop like MM showed in her tutorial. I just copy images to my desk top and see which ones I can get to print at a reasonable size. Sometimes, when I go to print them, there is a fine layer of gray over the entire thing. Once that happens, sometimes I can still use it, but if the colors are too messed up I can't and then I have to find another image to work with. Frustrating. This happened with Pablo & Tyrone -- it just deadens the color. I don't think you can tell, but if you had the original piece of cardstock you definitely can see the difference.

Ah, okay. I am anal about cleaning up my patterns. I use Paint Shop Pro and it has a background eraser tool, so I use it to make the image transparent. Then when I have the image down to black lines, then I fill the lines with black, to make sure it is really black. Then I turn the image negative, and erase any rogue pixels and clean it up. On some of them, I have spent hours erasing pixels, just so I don't get that grey tint. Like I said, I'm anal. :lmao:

I knew there was some reason why I was dissatisfied. I don't like the computer enough to do all of that work.

I am finished. I just need to make up your hostess gift and then it's all done!! I won't be able to mail until Monday, though. Sorry. I will send them priority for sure.

I should have my last group finished on SUnday and I plan to mail on Monday. My flock group is all done and will be mailed with this swap.
S :)

I have this one all done- I have one group to finish in the flock and then I will mail both together on Monday.

Rebecca

Our last check-in is today. When you check in, please be specific about where you are (ie. These groups are done, I need to do ___ for group ___). Most of you have already posted such an update in the last couple of days, so I've marked you as checked in.

Our due date is March 7th, so you should have these in the mail already if you aren't sending priority, and in a few days if you are. Remember, if you mail on March 8th or later you MUST send priority with DC, and send me the DC# so I can keep tabs on the status.

My package is all ready to go to the post office tomorrow. We are getting a lovely mix of winter weather, so I will post tomorrow if I was able to send it.
s :)

I mailed mine priority on Thursday night - you should get it on Monday. I will send the DC in a PM. Thanks for hosting!

Mine are done. I just need to pack it up and get it in the mail.

My groups are postal. I took them to the post office yesterday (I love that automated machine!!!) and they will be on their way today! I have the DC number if we need it.

Here are what my pieces look like: Cookie Monster is for Group G, Jaq & Gus are for Group F, Fawn is Group E1 (I put her on a leaf because she looked wierd in that position with nothing to sit on:rotfl: ), Mickey&Pluto are for Group F1, and Tinkerbell is Group E (like Fawn, she needed something to sit on!:) )

Wow! As these are all coming in you are making me want to really get into paper piecing. For those of you who do them by hand, do you use an exacto knife? I've done just a tiny bit and really enjoyed it but I choose patterns that can be cut solely with scissors and am thinking about venturing "further afield."

I'd really like to make a Mittens. But I would definitely need to use something other than scissors. Help!

Very Cute, DIT!

I primarily use scissors for my handmade paper piecings. But I also use a knife, that it similar to an exacto, but it has a much smaller blade and it has a swivel head. I got it at Walmart, in the scrapping section. I've found the replacement blades at Michaels too, so I think they have it. But I can't remember who makes it.
