Progress: Paper Piecing Swap Check-in March 1, Due March 7

Very Cute, DIT!

I primarily use scissors for my handmade paper piecings. But I also use a knife, that it similar to an exacto, but it has a much smaller blade and it has a swivel head. I got it at Walmart, in the scrapping section. I've found the replacement blades at Michaels too, so I think they have it. But I can't remember who makes it.

Thanks! I have an exacto & scissors so I think I'll try some other paper piecings next week.

That means the handmade groups are complete, so I will be able to start the sorting.

Thanks! I enjoyed doing them - just wished there were more handmade groups because I love receiving the pieces that everyone makes - because you all have different coloring pages then I do!

Oh, and did you do Thumper by hand, or did you use SCAL?

I did all of them using my craftrobo- it uses gsds. I take the coloring book page and trace it and then let the machine do my cutting before hand piecing it together. I cut everything at the same time- putting the pieces into files in the right colors and then dividing them into baggies. I generally have to open my file and look at it to be able to figure out the puzzle of putting it together- since I don't have any lines to follow.

yes but I bough it so I didn't have to go through all the trouble with the disney characters anyway- DH loves buying me big tools like that- he gets one too when I get one.
