PROGRESS: DL/DCA Swap Elements & Pages - MAILED BACK, Photos Posted

Just wanted to stop in and say that I love all that has been posted so far. So excited that I get quite a few of them.

I was able to cut about half my groups - and took them with me for a 4 day business trip, thinking I would have time in the evenings to work on them. Yeah, right! This meeting would start at 8 AM and go until 9:30 PM, with a working lunch and only hour break before a "working" dinner. I would get back to the hotel and barely make it to the bed before passing out from exhaustion!!! So after a roundtrip to D.C., my cut pieces are sitting next to me to finally start glueing together today - safe at home!

Hopemax ~ those are so cute! I'm upset that I'm not getting that Disneyland page! I love it! Maybe you could do that same style for Group A in the elements (hint hint ).

I haven't made them yet, but the Disneyland Hotel title will be made with the same font, and almost the same colors. For this page, I used a gold paper, but for the DL Hotel it will be a yellow Bling, to match the patterned paper I am using for the photo mats, and the blue will be slightly different color too.

Yeah! I'm excited! We have stayed many times at the Disneyland Hotel, and we are staying there again in July, so I'll have something to put with my pics!

OMG Hope! You should see what I made for DL group! Different paper but similar ideas. People might even think I copied you!
I couldnt decide what I wanted to do so I did the required topper, a mated pic of Walt on opening day, the speech and a photo mat to go with it since I didnt embellish too much. I did it all on the DCVW mettalic paper, purples, blues silver and bronze and gold and tying it all together with brass brads!
And I used either the same font or very similar!
So KK you may be getting something very similar in elements!
And, Im not in pages A!! I knew I should have joined all the pages group! AAAHHH!!

AR ~ good to hear I will be getting something similar! I just love that retro Disneyland font! It reminds me of their original sign they used to have in front of Disneyland.

John Stamos!!!! Yeah shocking right...WTH would you do with a sign that big??? And where would you put it???

I for one really miss that sign I thought it was super cool and as I saw it everyday of my early childhood life as I would pass it going to school it really pains me not to pass it when i come home to DL.

I've got a sign story, that you might not know. Prior to the letters being sold on Disney's ebay site to John Stamos, they had previously sold one of the Castles that was up top, at a Disneyana event at the park. The person who bought the Castle, was a poster over on LaughingPlace.com. At the time that she bought the castle, Disney said, "this will be the only piece of the sign that will be made available for sale." So when the letters went up, she was furious. So she contacted Disney and returned the castle.

I would love to have that sign... I don't know what I would do with it... but I would love it! I could put it up in my front yard. My neighbors wouldn't be surprised... they already think that I live at Disneyland, and this is just my vacation home! I was just recently at an event at Disneyland, and they had this sign there, so I had to take my kids pic by it. This sign I could more easily find a place for!

Great job on that hopemax! I love it! I have some of the items (from their stores) that have that logo on it. I have a candy dish that is black with that sign in it. Think of how much easier that would be with SCAL now!

You should start explaining to the other kids that those are their new siblings, so they won't be surprised when they get there!
