Program like Microsoft Word but is free?

I remember someone posted a link to it but now that I want to install I can't remember the name of the program to even do a search for it.

Seems like it was Office something or other. I could be remembering that wrong though.

I know there is a free program that mirrors powerpoint software that is called open office, but I am unaware of one that is similar to word. Sorry, hopefully, someone will be able to help you here.

Google lets you make documents and it's like Word.

The free office suite is Open Office. It has its own versions of each of the products that go together with the microsoft offerings. yes, it is free

The program is Open Office. It has most of the same features and is interchangeable with most Microsoft Office software. The programs included are just like Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Access. I personally have not tried any of the programs because I was given 2 full versions of Office 2003, so I haven't had the need.

It is called Open Office. Just go to www.openoffice.org and download it.

My DBF has converted his whole office over to that and they all like it, it does pretty much everything that Microsoft Suites does.

I went to type a letter and this computer didn't come with any office type programs. Being the frugal person I am I wanted to find something free.

I didn't know you could type docs. with Google either. I'll have to look into what else one can do with Google. I thought it was just for email and a search engine.

It has six components, Text, Spreadsheet, Formula, Database, Presentations and Drawing.
