Products you can't find anymore

Ahhh...Dunkaroos (I used to hide them from my kids) and crispy M&M's!!!

A few years ago I could buy a spaghetti sauce (Ragu maybe?) that you could pour over uncooked noodles and bake...maybe it was called Pasta No Bake??? I can't find it anymore.

Kay-O chocolate drink. Yoohoo doesn't even come close.

Wacky Packages - they had a brief comeback over the last few years but it looks like Topps has again stopped producing them.

Our Dollar Tree has the Wacky Packages, my dd loves them! They also seem to be there on a regular basis, unlike some other things that come and go :)

I also loooved the Morton Donuts, they were so yummy..just the cinnamon sugar ones for me though!

Also Orangina..I know it's still around, but used to be much easier to find! I don't think anywhere around us carries it anymore :(

I thought of another thing. When I was younger (70's or 80's) my mom would spray our pillows with something that helped with congestion. Once in a while she'd spray it anyways because it smelled so good.

Stella d'Oro cookies,,,the Lady Stella assortment. Haven't seen it anywhere in a few years.

Emerald green relish. Looks like it's dyed with some heavy-duty carcinogenic neon substance.

They still sell Mrs.Grass soup mix around here.

Lemon Cooler cookies. I can't remember who made them, but they came in a green box, had tiny bits of lemony pieces (like chocolate chips, only lemon) and were covered in powdered sugar. Cracker Barrel restaurant now carries a similar cookie, but it's just not the same.

I also miss Frosted Alphabit cereal. They were one of my comfort foods when I had a bad day!

Have you tried Amazon? That's the only place that I can find Quisp - the greatest cereal ever invented, BTW!

I found a recipe purporting to imitate the lemon cooler cookies, by someone sounds like he/she knows what she/he is doing, if you bake.

I miss that little bottle of iodine (is that what it was called?). It's that little bottle of redish stuff with the stick in it so if you cut yourself, your mom put on the red stuff.

You can still buy iodine, check your local drugstore. You want tincture of iodine. And though the fine dr. on the tv show Jericho told someone to drink it in case of nuclear fallout, please do not do that, heh. I think she was trying to kill him.

Cornflake beat me to the iodine, but I found it for sale at several places online. ;)
There's an interesting article about it, too. My Grandma always kept a little bottle over the washer. I haven't thought about it in years.

Interesting article: http://buddingplanet.com/iodine-tincture

When I was a little girl my Mom always washed my hair with Gee! Your Hair Smells Terrific shampoo.

I'm sure it was probably horrible for my hair but I'd love to find some. It really did smell terrific!

I believe the vermont store sells it. But it is so expensive. But it is a fun store.

I really miss Hostess powdered donuts with the rasberry filling. There was a perfume that Luckys use to sell in the 70's called confetti. I need to get a new email update for country vermont.

We still have these.

We still have Quisp, too!

.

And we still have both of these!

Chicago area seems to hang onto the foods!

And the Relish - when you look for it, Google: Pickalilli. That's what it's called. Or I can send you some? http://www.viennabeef.com/products/item.asp?PRODUCT_ID=5

It sounds like we could move this thread right over into "Swaps" and take care of everyone's needs from different parts of the country and world. ;)

I think Quisp is still sold in NY state, too. I was so happy to have found it online. I order it from Amazon and share it. Quisp is pure sugary goodness! :goodvibes

Good idea for a thread:

Schwan's used to have Caramel Apple Popsicles--I wish they would bring those back

They are a seasonal item. They are available currently according to their website.

1) Mystic Mint cookies.

2) Schwans creamed spinach.

I will forever miss Strawberry Shortcake cereal. I don't know why I can't get it out of my head but I think about it at least once a week! I've tried searching for it but no luck. Oh and Charms lollipops. Not blowpops, but the flat lollipops in the matching color cellophane. I think you can still order them online but I wish that I could go into a store to buy them. They remind me of going to my grandmas and going into her candy drawer. My grandpa owned a candy warehouse and she was always stocked up! :goodvibes
