Products you can't find anymore

My DH would like to add Wyler's Root Beer powder (that his mother used to make, lol) and large Ring Dings. :scared1:

lecach, I remember the Mortons doughnuts!

I wish Planters would bring back their cheese balls. They came in a canister. Yum!

Johnson and Johnson used to make a creamy vapor rub for babies that came in a tube. My mom and I liked using it since it wasn't greasy like the Vick's.

Cornsilk face powder (I can find it now & then on eBay)

Windex Multi Purpose Antibacterial - the yellow one, not the white vinegar one (I can stil find that one!)

I just bought Mrs. Grass's dry soup mix (with the nugget!) in the box last month at Giant grocery store. I'll have to check if it's still on the shelves when I go back next week!

How about Love's Baby Soft, Jean Nate bath splash (was that in a huge yellow bottle?) and Enjoli perfume...."I can bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan..." how did that go???

Tahiti Treat, Schwepps Raspberry Gingerale and these ice cream treats from the 80s that tasted like orange creamsicles and had an animal on the stick. :goodvibes

Benadryl. Where's all the freakin' Benadryl? I can only find store brands.

Yeah, really! I was recently looking for dye-free Benadryl. We use it slowly (the last bottle was a couple years old) and dd had a rash-last thing she needs is red dye, she's hyper enough ;) but could only find red generic benadryl.

I haven't been able to find Tylenol here - there's all kind of generic (which is fine, but thought it was odd that there were big sections of empty shelf where the name-brand Tylenol stuff should be.

And VIOXX!!!! I agree, wonder drug. Celebrex actually has the same heart risk, but that's still on the market!!! I'd sign any release they offered me to be able to take Vioxx again. An orthopedic surgeon I saw said the same thing. Nothing else works the same way, and Celebrex gives me hives (sulfa-based).

I really miss Apple Raisin Crisp cereal -- loved it. And Dole Pine Orange Guava juice. I can make it myself, but it's a pain in the morning.

There was a huge recall on them, that is why. From Johnson and Johnson

This whole entire month...they have not had Sweet and Sour Salad Dressing at our local store! Only the Fat Free and it taste like crap! Its getting on my last nerve!

Are you thinking of Tahitian Treat--that red pop(soda) stuff? Try Target--our's has it.

Edy's Chocolate Fudge Sundae ice cream. It was vanilla ice cream with soft creamy fudge mixed in and little pieces of walnuts. It was amazing because the fudge was so creamy, like you were really mixing in hot fudge. In all the similar types of ice cream I've tried the fudge is so hard. Unfortunately they seemed to stop selling it years ago. It was my favorite flavor of ice cream!

Have you tried Sanders brand ice cream? They have several old fashioned flavors and Hot Fudge Sundae is one of the flavors.

Schwan's has a Chocolate Fudge Ripple ice cream that sounds similar. The fudge is not hard but no walnuts in the ice cream. It's our favorite--especially with warmed up berries on top :thumbsup2

Back in the 70s I loved a candy that I think was called Union Jack (brand) Toffee-ettes. They were about the size of an M&M, but had a carmel center, coated in chocolate and then a hard toffee shell. They were available at our regular grocery store, but nobody but my sisters and I seem to remember them. They were yummy!

What is a super stuffer? What do you use it for?
tigercat

BAMM toilet bowl cleaner, that stuff was the bomb. I never saw anything work so amazingly well before. I found it once and it disappeared off the shelves. It was like the Lysol container, not the foaming Kaboom stuff. It was wonderful. I miss it. I knew I should have bought two...

I had to google to make sure it's the same thing, and yep, just the canadian name vs american name. Next time I'm in the states I'll have to stock up! I haven't had a good red mustache and sugar coma in decades! :thumbsup2

Novahistine Elixir. Have never found anything to work on my colds and allergies like that did.

Powdered Donutz cereal. I remember eating this when we were living in our first house so I must have been 3 or 4 (1979/1980). That stuff was tasty.

Kay-O chocolate drink. Yoohoo doesn't even come close.

Wacky Packages - they had a brief comeback over the last few years but it looks like Topps has again stopped producing them.

What is a super stuffer? What do you use it for?
It sits in your sink drain/garbage disposal and acts to stop things from falling down the drain and as a stuffer when you have things to go in the garbage disposal. Neat little implement.
