Products you can't find anymore

I can never remember the name but it was a package of seasoning you would mix in with tuna. I loved that stuff!

Not sure if it's been mentioned, as I didn't look through pages 2-19, but MAN I MISS bubble gum ice cream!!!! It was my favorite and I can't find it ANYWHERE!!!

I've looked all over South Dakota, Minnesota, North Dakota- can't find it! I may be the only adult who misses it, but I guess it's the kid in me! YUMMMM

Do you have Baskin Robbins ice cream stores in you area? Around here, they stock bubble gum ice cream during the summer months. They sell it by the pints in their freezer cases.

Butter Brickle Ice Cream in the grocery store -- little bits of butterscotch in a toffee ice cream! Mmmm!

And Hubba Bubba (maybe it was Bubbalicious) had a sugar-free PEPPERMINT bubble gum. I loved it!! (mid 80's)

I miss my geyser flavored water. IT was it a aqua blue bottle had a sports top and came in flavors like lemon, cherry lemonade, peach, a blackberry or something like that. I had heck of time finding it when I did. Found it at walgreens and a few gas stations, WAs prob later 90's early 2000 years as I know I'd stop and get a gas station on way to parents house. also royals or something like vthat made by mars/mm were like m+m but mint flavored and for that matter mint m+m's whicj i can only get at XMAS.

I remember the geyser flavored water. They used to sell it up near our beach house so I totally remember buying them. They were so yummy and I liked that it was not sweetened with artificial sweetner.

I thought of two more.

In the 1970's there was a cereal called PuffaPuffa Rice. It was slightly sweetened puffed rice, either made by Kellogg's or Post. The commercial had the cereal coming out of a volcano and Islander people pictured. Yeah, I liked this product. When they stopped making it I called the company and they sent me 2 boxes, but still stopped making it.

Also Team Cheerios. It was available around the time of the Olympics.

Loved the McDLT. One of the healthier burgers they offered, which is of course, why it failed.
Ah, yes, the Taco Bell Border Light menu, the biggest marketing disaster in fast food industry. They surveyed customers, asked if they would like lower calorie versions of the regular menu items, and a bunch of people said yes. But when they got to the restaurants, they ignored the border light stuff and bought the full fat versions. Taco Bell lost $75 million dollars on that flop.

I loved McDLTs. I also wish Long John Silvers would have brought back their baked chicken and rice. Delicious.

Thought of two more things:

1. Citrus Cooler - it was a green Hi-C product. Loved it!

2. Pier One used to have these little candies, back in the 70's that were orange flavored and had an outer wrapper and an inner wrapper. You removed the outer wrapper and popped the inner wrapper and candy in your mouth at once! The wrapper must have been made of sugar, or something. My uncle worked at Pier One while he was in college and he used to bring them home to us.

Chili's used to have this ahhhhhmaaazing dessert called the High and Mighty Ice Cream Pie. It was basically a heart attack on a plate, but it was ahhhhhmaaaazing. Heath bar candy pieces in vanilla ice cream, on a crushed Oreo cookie crust and drizzled with caramel and chocolate sauce.

I wish every day that Crispy Critters cereal was still around. I LOVED that stuff.

Ah, yes, I remember that. They changed it to "Ecto Cooler" for awhile ;)

...and apparently, it's still available as "Crazy Citrus Cooler". I think I've seen those around.

I wish they would bring back Pantene Clarifying shampoo. I hate that they discontinued it! I can't find a better clarifying shampoo.

Yes I think that is one of my main reason I can't find a replacement Artifacial sweeteners.

....Bluette. I'm so annoyed that they don't make this anymore.... :badpc:

Jhirmack shampoos and conditioners. Loved the way they smelled but were outside my college budget in 1985. I would splurge every now and then because I loved the smell so much.

I miss the old Sinutab and most of all the 24 hour Contac cold medicine. Wow, that Contac was good stuff!

I wish they would bring back Pantene Clarifying shampoo. I hate that they discontinued it! I can't find a better clarifying shampoo.

My dd wishes that as well. She's now using the Suave Clarifying Shampoo, which is not Pantene.

No Baskin Robbins around here :sad1: I remember having it where we used to live, before we moved here about 6 years ago. I went there on occasion and liked it a lot!

I might just have to attempt to make my own by mixing some small bubble gum chunks into ice cream...

Took me forever to rmemeber this product. Years ago there was a cereal that was a cookie, (Cookie Crisp) they had chocolate chip and a vanilla cookie, I always got the vanilla cookie one.

The commerical showed a wolf always trying to get the box of cereal away from the kids (ala Lucky Charms). The stores around here stopped carring the vanilla cook, but kept the chocolate chip for a while, now they don't even carry the chocolate chip anymore.

We still have cookie crisp cereal. They carry the chocolate chip and also have rainbow chip available here.

Knorr/Lipton pasta side dishes. I can no longer find the Sour Cream & Chive or the Beef Flavored pasta side dishes...Every store around here does not carry either flavor anymore....

I believe we still have these in our stores. At least I still have some of the beef flavored in my pantry. I will check the stores.

DS drinks soy milk and will ONLY drink the 8th continent brand. not only is it now hard to find that brand, nobody here carries the vanilla-flavored version. :(

In the '70's there was a line of products called "Young and Free" - they came in pink bottles - shampoo, conditioner, etc. I still remember the jingle "Young and Free, and so eager to find out what it's all about, and what it's all about, is Young and Free!" :lmao:
