Hello all. I have purchased tickets for our stay in December 2023. I am a blue card DVC member and would like to purchase an annual pass on April 13th. It appears I cannot do the exchange online but which number would I call? Should I call DVC member services or the Disney World reservation number? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Call DVC MS…they will verify you are indeed eligible and then pass you off to someone who can help you use the value of your tickets toward the new pass.

Called MS two days ago, here was my question
We have park passes for July already. will i be able to upgrade them to annual passes on april 13 through the MDE app “change ticket” or do i need to call DVC directly?

Their answer:

Theme Park Tickets currently can only be upgraded to an Annual Pass if completed in person. When you arrive for your Walt Disney World stay, you will need to go to Guest Relations at the entrance of any of the Four Theme Parks or Disney Springs and present your Digital Member ID Card and your Photo ID to validate your eligibility.

Additional information regarding Annual Pass sales will be announced as we get closer, but we are unable to speculate on anything that has not yet been announced.

Hoping something changes

I hope so as well.

I called MS yesterday, and I was told they had not made these decisions yet about applying unused tickets to the AP purchase. He said we would be receiving an email about it before ticket sales start on the 13th. Of course, If I called back today, I might be told something completely different by another CM, so who knows???

I called last week on Thursday and they said I could apply that cost on the website and there would be an option to upgrade to passes. Seems like we are getting different stories as usual.

Just chatted with someone on the WDW website about AP sales.

I asked what time I can buy the AP tomorrow as a DVC member. Their response:

Welcome home!
Sales of DVC Disney Sorcerer Pass will begin online no earlier than 6 am Eastern time on April 13, 2023.

It seems that potentially only the Sorcerer Pass may be available tomorrow.

When I asked if I could upgrade tickets already purchased online, they said:

Yes, you will be able to upgrade your tickets over the phone with Member Services.
You will have to call, or upgrade in person.

So it seems that we will need to call instead of doing it online for upgrading tickets. Also, they mentioned 'tickets purchased through Disney directly'. I am not sure if that means that tickets purchased from other places will need to be upgraded in person.

The original email said that the only pass in early sales is the Sorcerer Pass, so I am not surprised that this was confirmed.
