Problems with booking Dine with Shamu??

I have tried for several days to book Dine with Shamu for our up coming trip, but for some unknown reason, it won't go through. Has anyone else experienced problems with the booking system or can it be because I'm booking from outside the US? I booked from home the last time without problems (some years ago) and it has a list of countries in the system...

I've booked from outside the US on 1/28/13 without any problem (the only strange thing was that the reservation didn't specify exact time, only "Dinner" mark).

I was wondering about the "Dinner" time given also. How do you know when to go? Will they email you the closer it gets to your trip?

This is what the website is indicating:

Reservation times are based on the daily show schedule and will be assigned on the day of your visit.
•Lunch start time can be between 12:00pm and 2:00pm. Check in at the Information & Reservations Counter by 11:00am to receive your dining time.
•Dinner start time can be between 4:30pm and 6:30pm. Check in at the Information & Reservations Counter by 3:00pm to receive your dining time.

Not a good change, IMHO. When we booked our meal for Christmas week, we chose our dining time at the time the reservation was made, using a drop-down menu on the reservation page.

I recently posted a similar question as well. I have now been told that if you call one month ahead of your date (my reservation is for 4/22 so I would need to call back on 3/22), they will then give you your assigned dining time.

The rep I spoke with when making the initial reservation last week had said they assign times the day of your dine so I should check in upon arrival at the park. She also said to get a poolside table I should arrive 30 mins prior to my assigned dining time. I wasn't sure how that was going to work since not every party is four people so that would make table setup challenging.

I'm hedging my bets and doing it both ways, calling ahead on 3/22 and checking in first thing upon arrival at the park. We'll just have to see what happens I guess. :confused3

I think the customer service agent you spoke to was very much misinformed. Your table location should be based on the date you make your reservation, not based on the time you arrive for check-in.

Much as I love SW, they need to be doing a better job of organizing this meal :sad2: . Its not a new event, so it should not be this difficult!
