Problems with AP purchase through Disney website

On 1/4/2004 I ordered our AP's through the Disney website with express delivery so they would arrive before we left this weekend. I wanted to get the vouchers so I could get the DDE before we left, I had read somewhere you needed the vouchers to get the DDE. According to the confirmation, the AP’s were to arrive before 1/11.

Since they hadn’t arrived yet I called the guest services number on the confirmation to see if there was a problem. I was told there was a problem because they did not get my DVC membership number to complete the order at the discounted price and so the order was not processed. The website never asked for my DVC membership number, and even though the order was not processed my credit card was charged the day of the order.

I asked if they were planning on notifying me that my order was not processed, the CM was vague and just said they had a lot of problems with the DVC AP’s over the past couple of weeks because they were not getting the membership numbers. I mentioned the website never asked for the number and she just remarked again that there were problems. It was a very strange conversation.

She took my DVC membership number and processed the order, but since we are leaving Friday I will have to pick up the AP’s at Guest Services. Since I had a confirmation number of my order, but no vouchers, I decided to give DDE a call and see if I could join. To my surprise they took my credit card information and said I would be getting a confirmation email to use at WDW next week. They never asked me for any AP information, so I am curious to see if the order is completed.

It should be fine, they didn't ask me for any AP verification either, I received the email the same day (though later in the day) and my MC was charged SEVERAL days later. If you don't receive the email before you leave (they may be a little behind). If you don't receive the email before you are ready to leave the house, call them and ask them to fax it to the resort.

You shouldn't have any problem with your DDE. You just need to take that email in with you to the restaurants that you'll be using them at. We had to explain to a few of them that we ordered our card right before we left and they emailed the letter to us until our card arrived.

Sorry to hear about your problem with your AP's, hopefully that is all straightened out now.

I ordered my AP's online on Jan,4th also. I have not received my vouchers so I just called the customer service phone number and was told the same thing that Skip was. They asked for my member number and had to reenter my order. I was told that I will have my vouchers in a week.

IF YOU HAVE ODERED YOU AP VOUCHERS ON LINE YOU MUST CALL THEM AND GIVE THEM YOUR DVC MEMBERSHIP NUMBER OR YOUR ORDER WILL NOT BE PROCESSED!!!

The same thing happened to me. I ordered them on-line and I had to call them the day after my passes were supposed to arrive to find out why I hadn't received them. After putting me on hold, she came back and told me that my order hadn't been processed since I had not given them my membership number. I told her that there was no place to enter my number on the website. I did receive my passes a couple of days after this so it wasn't a big problem per se but it could have been had I not called to find out why I hadn't received the passes originally.

I am another member that went through this process this morning. The CM at the ticket place took my member number to finish the order and put me on hold. When he came back he said my member number did not exist, that the person he had trying it while I was on hold said the member number should begin with a 25..... not 22... I had to call and get member services involved telling them that my member # is correct. MS finally got it all straightened out. Those folks earn their money every day. I am not so sure about the computer programmers though??? Should be easier than this. WHAT about all the members that don't call to check on their pass orders? They are kinda left hanging there. :cool1:

Interesting, I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one that had a problem. Since they sent the original confirmation by email you would think they would at least try to send an email that there was a problem. I wonder how many more people are waiting for AP's that were never processed.

Also, I did receive the confirmation email from DDE today to use a temporary membership card, but since they only took my name and address I don't know how they verified that I was an AP holder.
