My mother and I were planning on staying at the Polynesian with a garden view in a handicapped room for our WDW vacation. Then we started thinking of the Contemporary and staying in a MK view room. When that didn't work, my mom realized I really wanted a MK view, and she really wanted to stay in luxury, so we decided on the GF with a MK view.
We called AAA and asked for the room. The AAA agent said that the GF had one handicapped room with a MK view, and if we didn't get that, we'd be able to get a shower bench and a hand-held shower head (which is the only thing my mom really needed).
Two hours after we booked our vacation, our AAA agent emailed me and told me that the ADA room and the accessories we requested would not be available for the dates we wanted. Frustrated, we called the GF, who told us that as long as we provide our own tub bench, they'll be able to provide the shower head.
Should I trust the GF about the shower head problems, or should I go to the Polynesian and get a MK view room? I know it won't be the same, but I'd rather have my mom be able to take a shower.
