Problems buying disney gift cards at target

I have a $5 off $75 coupon sitting in my wallet that expires soon. It says gift cards are not included. Does that include the Disney ones or just Target? I thought I read that the Disney ones were "Entertainment cards". Has anyone used one of these coupons?

You'll be fine. This is the same type of discount sometimes available near Christmas with $10 off $50, and I had $10 off $75 when they remodeled the Target near me.

Worked fine.

I recently got the Target CC and have used it to buy $200 of the Disney cards at a time. Does everyone with a CC get a $10 off $50 at Christmas? If so, I'll hold off buying more until then.

Has anybody in canada bought disney gift cards now that Target is open here ? Just wondering as I'm in the states next week and could buy the cards but if they are available at home would be easier to spread out purchases ? We have the red card as well .

i checked the target that recently opened in our mall and they do not have them. i was thinking about it and it actually made sense as the disney cards are us funds and we would pay in canadian. i would think any we could get would be for canadian disney stores only.

I honestly don't remember what the deal was last year (I think I missed it), but the year before you could print a coupon off their Facebook site (or directly online). So you could print as many as you want - but they only take one at a time. Sometimes it comes in a catalog-type mailer they send. That's what my $5 off $75 is - it's sticky on the back.

I'm all for keeping my money as long as I can - so if you don't need the cards until after Christmas, I'd wait.

Thanks! I will do that. :)

It was on-line, a coupon for $10 off $50. It says limit 1 per household, but at most Targets they didn't seem to care about the limit, and the computers would let you use 4 at once. They do not send them to card holders in the mail.

The $10 is actually a Target gift card, so if you buy 5 Disney gift cards for $250, you'll get 5-$10 target gift cards and you can turn around and buy another Disney gift card

New to this....

It's possible to book a cruise and then pay it off in bits and pieces by using GC's?

We are looking to book one for October 2014. I would love to be able to save a few bucks and pay for it little by little...doesn't feel like I'm taking a bit hit that way.

Yes, this is exactly what I did. You book with a deposit down, then make payments as you wish. I bought gift cards from Target, anywhere from $200 to $1000 at a time (in $50 increments), and applied them to my balance until it was paid off.

I just opened a Target Red card a couple of weeks ago...I have been purchasing a couple of GC every couple of days with no problem. I have been purchasing them on-line...Free shipping and you still get 5% off..I thankfully haven't had any problems.

THAT is so cool! What a great way to make sure the money I save goes towards the trip!

jlemieu1....that pic you posted of the stack of GCs.....amazingly yummy!!!

Just a quick update- my $5 coupon worked fine. I got $100 in gift cards for $90.25 with the Red card and coupon. Not bad! The kid even chatted with me about where we were going :)

Wait -- you can use Target gift cards to pay for Disney gift cards? Ooh .... I have several from recent store promotions!

Quick question -- where do you enter the Disney gift cards online to add to OBC?

We just bought the Southwest gift cards with the Red card + the pharmacy rewards :) Can't complain about extra airfare savings!

For OBC you need to call DCL or your TA to have them applied, you can't do it by yourself online.

I wish there was a way to apply them to your OBC online just like when you pay your cruise off, but so far I've never had an issue calling DCL to get it applied. Then again, it always sounds nice when you hear them tell you how much OBC you have.

Excellent point! :)
