Problems Booking Cinderella's Castle in 2011 w/ Dining Plan????

I spent two hours on the phone this morning with Dining Reservations trying to book Cinderella's Castle for breakfast on May 5, 2011. Several different cast members tried, but the computer system wouldn't allow it! Finally, the last cast member I spoke with said it was because they have not finalized the 2011 meal plan contract with Cinderella's Castle so they couldn't link it to my meal plan. I ended up having to put the charge on my credit card and they told me I should call back in January to link the reservation to my meal plan and have my credit card refunded. Has anyone else had problems booking Cinderella's Castle in May of 2011 on a meal plan??!! Does this sound like a strange problem to anyone else??? :headache:
 
I booked CRT for May 3rd using the DxDDP. We are doing dinner. They did ask for the credit card number to hold the reservation. We made the reservations this morning.

Try calling again.

I wsh all the CM's would get it together. Did you call different times when you talked to different CM's?
 
Weird. I got CRT for Lunch on May 4, 2011. I called right when they opened on my 180 day, and I had no problem at all. They took my credit card, but they are not going to charge it unless you cancel wiithin 48 hours or don't show up. I'm on DxDP. I specifically asked the CM about this. It's just to secure your spot. The same for Mickey's Backyard BBQ

I called yesterday, and mine is for March. I think half the CM's are told one thing, and then the others are told something else. Then a few make stuff up.

All of the CM's I spoke with were on this morning, with the exception of one yesterday, and there were a about five, plus one at the DVC member site. The first CM yesterday said it was a problem with my reservation and I could call tomorrow and book it (which was this morning when I called back). The CM this morning said it was a DVC reservation problem, the DVC CM said it was a glitch due to the recent upgrades and I could only book if I waited until Saturday (the 180 day mark for May 5th). I planned on waiting but needed to make a change to a different reservation, and that new CM wanted to fix it for me. After being on hold for a while, the phone system disconnected me. I called back and a different CM said she would look into it and she came back saying that 2011 DP contract with Cinderella's Castle hadn't been finalized yet, so I couldn't tie my DDP to the reservation and I would have to pay cash until the contract was renewed. (And somewhere in the whole mess I got disconnected from a CM at a different time). :eek: It was TOTAL craziness!!! I just put it on my credit card and will let them get their glitches worked out and figure it out in January. I don't think my brain can handle any more for a while! :laughing:

Oh, I'm so jealous!! I would love those two plus hours of my life back!!:rotfl2:
