Problems banking online?

Is anyone else having trouble banking points online? I have 59 BCV points that need to be banked by the 30th. When I try to do it online it says that it can't process my request, that I must chose an amount equal to or less than 59. But I am choosing 59! I guess I will call MS tomorrow. Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else?
 
And people wonder why some of us do not want online reservations for DVC!?!

Not sure what the problem is. We banked online and it was easy and simple. We also made our first reservation online, again easy and simple.

Why am I starting to think that maybe our experience is the exception rather than the norm?
 
I've always banked my points online and have never had a problem.

Of course, the DVC member web site does have it's issues now and again..
 

I went back and this is what the message said,This time it looked like it was going through and then it said... "We are unable to process your transaction at this time.Unfortunately, we are unable to process your banking transaction due to a system issue. Please contact Member Services for assistance. Thank you for your patience while we resolve this matter."
 
I could imagine the frustrations with an online ressie system when this error popped up during those prime vacation times booking windows. And all the member complaints about how DVC has to "make it right".
 
I had the same problem with banking my AKV points today - I purchsed at BLT last week and my new contract # is showing so I thought this might be why. Sounds like it might be a system error instead. I guess I will just call member services. :dumbo:
 
Just got an email from dh saying he had no problem banking over the phone. I also bought at BLT and wondered if that is somehow part of it:confused3 .
Anyway I banked my whopping 59 points-that's what counts!
 
I'm having a problem with the website too! I have 63 points available to bank and this is the message I got when I tried to bank all 63 points.

You entered 63 Vacation Points to bank from this contract, which brings the sum total across all contracts over 63 Vacation Points available to bank on this Membership. Please enter a number that makes the sum total of Vacation Points to bank from all contracts on this Membership less than or equal to 63. :confused3 Say what???

I'm going to call, so I don't think it will be a problem. But what if I tried to do this tonight, after member services had closed??? Today is my banking deadline and I was waiting til the last minute because I have a waitlist pending and I was hoping to use these 63 points for that reservation.

Edited to add...Well I'm on hold with an estimated wait time of over 20 minutes, so I guess it's not as easy as I thought.

expereinced this identical issue last weekend and tried again and the banking transaction worked the second time (although I still got the error message). Made me super nervous that I banked the same amount twice and checked the site daily for a week just to make sure. It did go through correctly.

You can. It's not done immediately, it takes a few days, so if you are trying to get exactly at the first day you can book, it won't work. The message may not be gotten to by MS until a day or two later. You also can't request the reservation a few days before your official window to try to get around the delay, it will get rejected.

I tried to do one online once, but didn't want to name a second choice or something like that, there was a place that I just got bogged down, so I called. Obviously, it does work and if I wasn't trying exactly at 11 or 7 months, I would give it another try.

When you input a reservation online, you are sending the info to MS. They will take the info and input the reservation manually into the reservation system just the same as if you were on the phone with them.

The problem is if they have any questions, they email them to you which opens the door for further delays.

I prefer to reserve over the phone.
 
I just tried o bank all my June UY 2008 points into 2009 and I got the same errors as above.

Put in 160 (the total) first and it said I couldn't like the poster above. Did it a second time and it took it. Agreed to the "Terms" and "Submitted" and got a "System Error, Please call MS..." so it is definately broken. :(
 
I banked my left over points for 2008 UY last night with no problems at all. :thumbsup2
