OK, so after searching around to find a pool home (and talking my hubby out of staying onsite), I responded to an offer for a home in WH. She emailed me back with a booking form, which I filled out and emailed back Thursday afternoon. I have yet to hear back from her now! I have sent several emails to make sure she rec'd the booking form, but have not heard back from those either! (No money has changed hands yet)
I noticed on the booking from that I signed that it states deposit must be made within 4 days of booking to hold the dates, well I can't pay the deposit when she won't answer my emails. So, is she just trying to get out of the booking by waiting the 4 days?
I guess I need to go through my info to find another house!!

Any thoughts??

Thanks, Sondra

She's probably either 1) not getting the emails or 2) unavailable or something similar, it's doubtful she's not responding to get out of a booking, that would be pretty unusual. If you have her phone # I would call.

We're here in Windsor Hills as I write this to you actually, wow, I just Looooove it here! :)

We went to the games room today because it was pouring rain, it was great to have some fun activities for the kids to do while parks and swimming were out of the question!

I know how stressful this can be. We are in the process of booking a home ourselves and until it is official, I will be a nervous wreck. It hasn't been that long though and the owner could be out of town or away from their computer. If I didn't hear anything by Tuesday or Wednesday, then I would start to panic a bit. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I'm sure it will be fine! :) Keep in mind most owners don't do this full time for a living, and may be not 100% available all of the time, that sort of thing.

We just had a guest send us an ERA via certified mail...kind of unusual...took me a few days to get to the post office when they were open and pick it up / get back to her...so you never know!

If they were here I'd offer to go say "hi" for you! LOL (We're here now!).

I know, I am trying to be calm and just wait, but that can be tough! In the meantime I am picking out another choice. (just in case!)

Thanks for help though!

Hi,

My first post :)

We are having somewhat similar problems. The owners and I have exchanged e-mails, have an agreement, and they have blocked out our dates on the availability calendar, but their management company has yet to contact us since Friday am (we were told within 24 hours).

Probably best to just relax. Many other things going on in owner's lives at this moment (it is that time of year to file those 1040's with Uncle), and I'd imagine the management companies don't work on weekends. Also many owners appear to be UK residents and there may be a time lag associated with them communicating with their booking agents (a Thurday afternoon booking may not get communicated until Fri, the weekend gets in the way, etc)

I also hate "loose ends" and will be relieved when the booking is confirmed for our June stay at WH.

Back to this confounded Nor'easter. Hope all goes well.

Welcome!

I'm new to the boards myself. (was a lurker for a bit)

I am just anxious to get something booked before dates are gone.

Thanks,

Sondra
