Problem with CRT ADR

Got an e-mail from Disney Dining Services yesterday saying they need to speak with me about my CRT dinner ADR for a September trip.
They asked me to call Disney asap to discuss it further, but I replied asking if it would be possible to discuss it by e-mail - as only last month I spend more than US$60 on my international calls to Disney, to modify some reservations. Yeah, I know, that's a lot of money.
Now I'm waiting for their answer but dying to know what happened with my ADR! Any guesses?

It cannot be something good, right? It would be a birthday surprise for my friend...

What date and time is it for? If it's dinner on a NoJ night (Sept 7 or 8, I believe) they may have to cancel it. If it's after 6:30ish or so on a MNSSHP night, they may have to check if you're planning to attend or not.

In September, those would be my guesses.

Hard to say without knowing the date or time. Maybe the reservation is during mnsshp?

If your res is on any of the following nights it could be because of Night of Joy or MNSSHP:

Night of Joy Sept 7 and 8. People have been reporting that their reservations were canceled in the MK starting at 5 PM.

MNSSHP (Halloween parties) Sept 11, 14, 18, 21, 25, 28, 30. They could be calling to confirm/let you know you'll need party tickets if your reservation is close to or after 7 PM. They have done this in the past.

If it's any other date I don't know what it could be.

Has anyone heard anything on free dining being applied for October?? Or any kind of discount?

Thank you Cafeen, ses1230 and purple figment! It's a NoJ night! That's it then! I thought it would be ok to make the ADR for around 6pm, as the park closes at 7pm...
It sucks... we will only return to MK for the MNSSHP on the 14h and I chose not to do any ADRs so we wouldn't lose time during the party... now, I think even if we consider a dinner reservation for this night there will not be any availability at this point... No CRT for us anymore!

Could you choose to do lunch instead? I ran a few searches and found the following availability. I didn't know the size of your party or which night you originally looked at, but a few openings are below:

9/7 - Lunch Party of 4 @ 12:15pm/12:55pm, Party of 6 @ 12:10pm/12:55pm, No availability for 8
9/8 - Party of 4 @ 12:15pm/12:55pm, Party of 6 @ 11:55am/12:55pm, Party of 8 @ 11:50am/1:30pm

(These can also be done online, which will save you from having to call international even more times)

I think they did change things up regarding NoJ this year too, as we saw people with Tony's being cancelled the other day (last week?) for the same reason. It seems that no place within MK is offering any dinner seatings for either night.

I had looked for available times for other nights we could be there and found nothing... I didn't want to have a lunch ADR since we will be having breakfast at Crystal Palace in the morning and wouldn't be hungry at lunch time, but now I'm considering having a late lunch, since our CP ADR is at 8h15... for my party of 5 there is a 2h40 opening... I really wanted to do dinner, but if there's no other way...

Although there's no guarantee that they'll allow early entry again this year, in past years they have allowed people to enter the MK at 4 PM on MNSSHP nights with just their party ticket. You could try scheduling an early dinner around 4:30 and you'll be done before the party begins because you're right - you definintely don't want to spend party time eating.

You can keep checking online multiple times a day to see if anything opens up. Because it's a fully pre-paid reservation people will cancel if their plans change. You can also subscribe to the Sept canceled res thread that's on the Dining Reservations sub-board.

But we found an opening for breakfast at CRT the same day, then we cancelled CP for the morning and will do a late lunch there instead. I know we'll spend a lot of park time with sit-down character meals this day, but it will be our first day and we'll probably still be tired from the trip the night before... and, arriving early, we'll have MNSSHP time for the rides too
