Hi all,

Wasn't sure which area to post this in - please move as appropriate!!! :confused3

Has anyone been to Cypress Gardens and would be able to advise whether it's worth going to from a ride-lover's point of view?

Cheers

It closed a couple of years ago,but was bought by the owner of Wild Adventures in Valdosta,GA and opened up again in 2004 or 2005,I'm not sure.
He reopened it with more a focus on thrill rides even though the old gardens section is being kept the old way.I've yet to go but it seems the park has mostly smaller coasters and other amusement park rides. They recently opened a waterpark that is included with admission and purchased an adult wooden coaster called the the Starliner that used to be in an amusement park in Panama City, Fl.I think most of my facts are correct, if they're not someone correct me as I've yet to attend.I'm waiting for the big woodie to open up!!!

I saw the new brochure, its looks pretty nice. From what I saw in the brochure DOOM1001's description is pretty accurate!

I went there as a child and it was beautiful!!

We were there last month and enjoyed the whole place, including the new rides. I don't claim to be a ride expert of any kind, but some of the rides I had never seen before.....I think they would appeal to teen agers on up. But you should know, it's been a while since we had a teenager@!! :cool1:
