(Probably been asked a million times) - the right # of days? Critique my trip plan?

We're planning on a trip to Disneyland and San Diego next April.

We want to do Disneyland for the first part of our trip, and then in San Diego we want to have one day for the zoo, one day for Sea World, and one day to just relax on a beach. Likely we'll go from a Saturday to a Saturday. Here's my plan:

Arrive Saturday.
Disneyland: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday
San Diego: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Leave Saturday

My worry is that we're keeping Disneyland too short by only planning three days. Is that enough? Kids are four year old triplets.

Thanks in advance for any advice! I'm a bit overwhelmed planning this trip for some reason!

This depends on when in April.

If you are later it should be fine. If early and before Easter it will be fully Spring Break and an extra day would probably be very nice.

If later you might consider going on arrival day if possible. Just because after Spring break ends Fantasmic, Fireworks and possibly WoC may only be weekend shows.

I think you haven't planned on enough days for disney. Forget San Diego and just stay at disney for the entire holiday.:)

I would say do SD in only two days and do the beach near DL. You could get 4 day tickets and do that beach day half and half. There is so much to do and three days is really the minimum (Took me 5 days to see everything)

I would drop the beach day. In April it will be too cold to enjoy. You might want to take a few hours to walk a beach but I cannot imagine a whole day at the beach in April. And the ocean water will be way too cold to go in.

Three days is the bare mininmum to have a "full" DLR trip. But you will feel a little rushed. Also do pay attention to the PP about when in April. If late April it will be off season and your days of the week at DLR will matter a lot.

We have gone 3 days, 4 days, and 4 days with two smal kids. I can tell you that the past 2 4 days, that 4th day has been much more like a half day because we are completely spent. I think if you decide in advance what you want to see, 3 days is the perfect time, especially for kids! Warning- every trip we've ever taken, both my kids have a totally out of the blue meltdown, in park, the first day. After the first trip, I learned this is normal and to baby them through it to move on rather than expecting normal good behavior!

We always do a beach day too, but will usually go to one that has Ruby's at the end of the pier to grab lunch and hang out. We will walk the beach and check things out, but as others have said, the water will be too cold. But, don't skip going! A few hours would be perfect!
