I have an upcoming reservation at boardwalk villas in a standard view 1bdrm using points. My parents have a cash reservation in a standard view studio for the same dates. Is there any way to request connecting rooms (basically making a 2 bdrm lockoff )? My parents are not dvc members if that makes a difference. Thanks for any advice

You can request it but it's difficult to make happen. People who book standard rooms through CRO are usually given pool/garden view rooms, the rooms that DVC members book last. Also, BWV has many dedicated studios & 1 bedrooms which don't connect. There may not be lockoff studios & 1 bedrooms that are not already booked as 2 bedrooms for your dates. One or both of you may be assigned rooms that don't connect (dedicated rooms). You might be better off requesting rooms near each other.

No, only the Poly has connected studios. You can add a "traveling with" notation to each reservation referencing the other reservation to improve the chance that the room assigner will keep the rooms close.

They may not be able to combine them. IF they rented from a member for a standard view studio, it is more likely to be possible as long as the dates match up. You'd just make the request on BOTH reservations and reference the other reservation #. Then repeat the request at check in. Let us know how it goes.
