I've tried proactiv, my brothers have both tried it, we all HATE it!!! I don't use the word 'hate' a lot, but I HATE, HATE, HATE this stuff. AND, once you get on their 'list' they never stop bugging you! My dr. actually told me proactiv is not good for anyone's face...ONLY because your body gets 'addicted' to it. You use it for 2-4 weeks (trial period), your face gets a little better- or a little worse...you quit and then everything goes haywire if you quit! Your face gets much worse when you quit.

Some people swear by this proactiv, and great if it works for you- but out of the 10 people I know who have tried it, it only works for ONE of them!!! THose results aren't good in my opinion.

PLUS, if you have insurance- it's WAAAAYYYYYYY cheaper to go to a Dr. and get a prescription, and pay for the cost after insurance!!! My dr. wrote out a scrip for me and I pay $8 a month for medicine for my face that ACTUALLY WORKS!!!

I hate that proactiv commercial that says "you can buy it now for 1/2 price" that is a HUGE SCAM, because you don't get it for 1/2 the price!! You get it for the full price, they just send you 1/2 of the product!

I ordered it, and she has used it for 30 days now.
Her face is worse than before!
Her poor forehead is covered in big red zits.
I made a doctors appointment for her, to try some prescription stuff.
Sigh. Poor girl.

Just a thought perhaps she is having an allergic reaction to something and it is not just acne. My friends daughter has allergies that react this way.

I agree go to Dr.They can tellyou and your DD what is best for her skin and her situation. My DD has occasional break outs and a few blackheads. She steams her face every once and awhile...big bowl of hot water with a towel over her head. Very old fashioned but it really helps get rid of the clogged pores.

Didn't work for me. I tried it as a teenager and it did nothing. I tried it again as an adult, and it made my face so dry it cracked, and made my skin worse. I tried to stick with it, but it was so painful! And when you stop using it, the acne does come back 10x worse.

Ugh, it is terrible stuff.
I took her to DR. and get a prescription. It has only been a week and it is working better already.

I hate what ProActiv did to all the faceclothes and towels!
It totally bleached them an awful orange color! Imagine what it was doing to her poor face!

Now to try to send it back to get the 'full money back guarantee'. We will see how easy that is!

My DD hated the stuff, and it certainly didn't seem to help her at all.

As an added bonus, I sent back the set within the 30 days' time for the refund as I was assured I could do via phone, using THEIR return label and THEIR box... was told that tracking's not necessary since it's their own return label, and since then have been fighting with them about it, they claim I had never returned it!! Aaand they DID in fact receive it... several months later, ugh! They assume I'm lying about sending it back, and I have gone from intending to pay it just to get it over with and get them off my back to awaiting each call so that I can tell them exactly what I think of their product and company.
