can someone recommend me a gd private shuttle company that does transfer from CDG airport to DLP? many thanks

Sorry Samsamly, I can't help you but I would like to know the answer as well.

I think it's around 15.00GBP more than getting the VEA.

But last time we were there I found the VEA very stressful as it turned into a free-for-all!

If you look at the useful information thread sticky at the top of this board it lists several companies you could use for a private shuttle (look under plane section).

I have always used greyshuttle. They have a website www.greyshuttle.com They provide baby seats and booster seats when requested. They have large 9 seater cars, so can take 8 passengers. The driver can speak English. You can email them for a quote. Communication was always in English and very quick. We have always found them to be reliable and I intend to use them again when we go in June.

Maybe we were unlucky but I used Grey Shuttle in August 2005.

All communication with them had been great prior to our trip and I had no concerns at all.

We had arranged pick up for 3.30pm and were eventually picked up at 4.50pm - this was after 3 phone calls each with a different excuse - "the driver will be with you in a minute", "he is running 10 mins late", "he is the terminal waiting for you, where are you? Oh he is in terminal 3" whilst we were waiting in terminal 2B.

I could not fault the minibuses, the drivers were very pleasant and on our return trip they were 15 mins early to collect us.:cool1:

We used BS Transports a few weeks ago (recently renamed from RS Transports) and were fine. The only complaint is that they dont seem to do baby seats - only boosters so watch out for this. The vehicle used to collect us was a Mercedes 8 seater (3 adults and 3 kids). Fare was €90 to DLPR from CDG and €80 going back.

Can you elaborate on 'stress and a free-for-all'? It looks so simple on their website, land, go to the post, get on the bus - go to the resort.

What made it so bad for you?

i returned from DLP on Tuesday and used BS Transport to pick four adults one child and one baby up and they were great. Were there when we got off the plane, and there early to get back to the airport. 95 euro each way. Couldn't fault the service, would definitely use them again and after seeing the queue for the Disney bus and the fact that it was only about 20 euro more for all of us was well worth the extra money. Highly recommended.

Don't get me wrong I think they are a pretty good firm (and the coaches are very easy to find at CDG).

But the problem was with the crowds.

It seemed to be particularly busy when we had to get back to the airport. We got to the pick up point in plenty of time, the coach arrived and stopped at the back of the queue and everyone was still in park 'push and barge' mode. We didn't get on the coach as it was full, after much head scratching they arranged for a second coach to pick up the ones left behind (of wich there were many). In the meantime people turned up to wait for the next scheduled coach pick up.

Again, it was another free-for-all. But we managed to get on. My wife took the kids on (aged 4 and 2) and I went around the side to sort out the pram and I nearly didn't get on!

Then when we got to CDG the driver went to terminal 1, terminal 2 then went to leave the airport! There were around 3 families left on the bus!

It wasn't a very nice way to end the holiday IMO.

I was planning on just using the VEA from CDG to the hotel, on the way back I have a car picking us up to take us to Paris & for a tour.

We are flying from Rome to CDG arriving around 2pm, I was hoping it would be an easy, worry free transfer but now I am second guessing myself.

It'll be fine from CDG to DLP. It's the other way round when things start getting stressful. The VEA coaches are easy to spot, if you look in the right place.

I wouldn't have any problem using them from CDG at all.

Did you get a booking number or anything?

I sent them a couple of questions (one for price confirmation the other regarding how to select a regular car - the only selectable options on the site were Caravelle or Mercedes).

I received a Word reservation in reply.

Which is fine, I just thought I'd get a booking number or something.
