Instead of ignoring it, can you report it to the mods? Maybe they can't do something about ONE post, but if there are multiple reports of nastiness, something can be done.

What may have happened is that they sent you a nasty private message, and then got points - once you get so many points, your PM privileges get taken away.

Here is the thing we all post sometimes for advise and opinions, fine no big deal i'll take all that come and decide which ones I think are best for the situation. We all do that. I have no problems with opinions and that differ from mine as we are all different and look at life differently.

We all choose to take advise or not take advise and once someone chooses not to take advise from someone it doesn't give the person the right to try and cram that down anyone else's throat b/c they think they are right no matter what. I have never been nasty to anyone that gave advise i digressed with but simply chosen not to follow said advise. The last time I looked I had the right to not follow someone's advise or to follow it. But that still doesn't give anyone the right to get mad or try to make a person follow their advise just b/c they think they should. If someone chooses not to follow your advise just let it go b.c it is still their choice to make not yours. Again I don;t mind a person disagreeing with me about anything but i do mind if you get nasty about it or try to make me come to your way of thinking till I do. That is not cool. I have enough smarts about me to know if I want to follow someones advise or not. Sure I can ask and you can give it but remember that there is a chance that your advise may not be followed and all you can do is give it which is all a person has asked for.

please i hope most people understand that I'm not trying to make anyone come to way of thinking on anything but to merely say that once you give your advise it may not be followed and it is not cool to try and make someone follow your advise once you realize they are going to follow it.

Instead of just randomly putting this info out there, it may be helpful quote the person's mistake and then advise them of the correct spelling/usage of the word so people know what you are talking about.

Thank you I was not aware I was making a mistake.

ETA: you learn something new everyday. However lets remember that some people may not be aware of making a mistake and pointing out nicely should always be the way to go. and also lets remember that we should treat others the way we want them to treat us. I know that I wouldn't want someone to point things out to me in a way that makes me feel stupid so I'm not going to do it to others. The person that posted that about the difference, is that how would you want someone to point out a mistake like that to you? I know I wouldn't want it pointed out me the way you pointed it out. The reason is b/c I didn't know what you were talking about. Explaining it would have been a little better. Also i don;t understand why things like that need to be pointed out? I mean that was not the point of the post plus this is a mess. board and it doesn;t always have to perfect.
