Private Epcot Dessert Party - HELP!

Today I submitted my final attendance number to our Disney planner for UK Lockside for a private party in about two weeks time. We have 66 people and our planner just informed us the site only holds 50, even though our contract says we can have up to 150.

I have seen information on various sites that this area holds 50 for a wedding, but we are just a private group. Can anyone confirm how many people this area actually accommodates for a non-wedding dessert party? Thanks so much!

I think your planner may be confusing UK Lochside and UK Upper. Lochside holds 70-75 people whereas Upper has a limit of 50.

I second this. I think you will be fine with that number of people at Lochside depending on what tables you have. We had 30 people for our wedding and there was lots of extra space.

Thank you all for your help! I haven't heard back yet, but our planner said they may be able to move us to Germany or provide us with another date (not feasible), but with no confirmation that this could be done until July 12th for a party the following week.

I've also posted to the Disney Travel Babble site (thanks @lurkyloo) and got a similar response as to the numbers being around 70 people. My concern moving forward is that the Disney Weddings website says it only holds 50. I'm wondering if things have changed.

DFTW's website is notorious for having incorrect information. I really think your planner is confusing the limits of UK Upper and UK Lochside. UK Lochside is huge!
