Private Cabanas at Magic Kingdom: Last Day to Rent One - February 17, 2017

There are only 4 of us, but we would book this for NYE. We would not book this during other times that we visit WDW as they are less crowded.

This would be the year to book it then, because you know if this works and people book the cabanas then the next thing they roll out would be the variable pricing where NYE would cost something like $5,000. High profile days (Easter, NYE, Halloweeen, Christmas, etc) would be priced way higher.

We would probably pay the price for just the day long reserved seating at the parades, fireworks, and castle lighting. I really hate fighting for vantage points and the crowding as people push closer to the event. It's less expensive that the VIP tour guide at $3000 with less reserved seating.

:earsboy: Bill

I could see the appeal of these for some folks. But I'll just take my naps in Hall of the Presidents ;)

Seriously though, I think they are nice but I would never pay that.

Reserved one for our December trip. They are air conditioned, comes with refreshments, fruit, snacks, food delivery, desert, reserved seating for parades, fireworks, and castle light show for 8 people. Crowd forecast is 9 out of 10 so might be nice for a break, really wanted it for the reserved seating plus we get Mickey ears!

How do you actually reserve them? I'm seriously considering getting one for NYE..

I would hope to not get flamed here, but I booked one for this Sunday.

We have a short trip planned, arrive Friday, leave Monday. Fundamentally it's a total splurge and the cost is pretty laughable even for Disney standards, but I'm intrigued by the parts of it that can help subtly maximize our time, such as having a potentially semi-quiet spot where DS could maybe take a quick nap (vs going back to the resort), the reserved parade/fireworks viewing, etc. The other amenities are a nice perk. We aren't park commandos and enjoy a more leisurely pace actually.

Will make sure to report back on our experience.

Again, no flaming please, we all do Disney in our own ways!

Anyone have any thoughts on where the reserved viewing might be? My christmas eve visit sounds like itd be worth it.

It looks...muggy. And humid. I know - beta testing. But, I sure would not be in the test group as-is.

No flames, its your money. Have fun.

I don't care how anyone spends their money I was asking what would attract them to this specifically.

Spend your money how you want - I just wanted to know what attracts someone to this product.

We booked it for our trip next month. One of our family members has a hard time standing for extended periods of time (walking is fine, standing still isn't), so we had already booked the Tony's package for the reserved viewing for the festival of fantasy parade, and had booked the dessert party for the christmas party, for the reserved viewing of the parade and fireworks. There are 6 of us, and no one in our group eats desserts, and I knew everyone was going to hate Tony's, but the reserved seating was more important.

It was the same exact price to get the cabana, which comes with reserved seating for all of those things, as it was for 6 of us to eat at Tony's and do the dessert party, so I booked the cabana, and once a couple reviews come out, I'll be cancelling Tony's and the dessert party.

Plus, when the older members in our group get tired, they can go relax in their comfortable cabana/tent. They think that this cabana is just the best idea, and are so excited about it.
