Priority seatings

My friend (Dvc member) , is having difficulty organizing a grand gatherings event. She was told that MS has to give her a number and then she can make the reservation. Do I need to call MS for ps or the regular disney #/ Thanks

If it is PS then reservations are not like we think of in our world. You may wait for an hour before they think about seating you. Great with 13 people so we finally got smart and when we have a large party like that we go off-site.

Priority Seating does mean an exact time. It means you have priority. If three parties walk in at 5:00 without PS and you arrive at the same time with or a little later with a PS you will get seated first. It may be a 20 minute wait for you but an hour wait for the three other parties.

I know PS aren't exactly like a reservation, I was just wondering who I make them thru WDW dine or DVC member services?
tripletvan, I have 2 1/2 year old triplets, how old are yours?

If you're trying to do this as a "grand gathering" event, you first need to call and they will assign your group a number. This is your group's number that you will use when arranging any grand/magical gathering events. (Kind of like your name - Smith Gathering, but a number is probably easier for them to use in a computer system). That is what the CM is talking about.

Call the regular 407 # and tell them you want to set up your magical gathering group. Be forewarned...they're going to ask you a million questions...names of everyone in the group, ages of all children, etc. If you get toll free calls on your cell phone, you might want to use that so you don't rack up long distance charges. (You can try calling the DVC 800 number and see if they will transfer you, but they made me call direct). Then once you have this number for your group, you can use that to plan anything that is a grand gathering event.

If you just want to make a regular PS without the Grand/Magical gathering, just call the 407 # and select the prompt for Dining.
