Priority Mail/Certified Mail?

On Saturday, I received one of those pink notices from the post office saying they had a large envelope that they attempted to deliver to me. I went to pick it up yesterday, and of course, they don't know where it is.

I recently had ordered concert tickets on ebay which the seller says they sent Friday, priority mail. Didn't say it was certified. Would the post office have left that envelope is it was priority, or would they leave one of those slips for me to pick up at the post office?

I'm just afraid the tickets may be lost now and there's nothing I can do about it. Of course, I can't seem to locate the slip they left, and without it, they can't even track it.

If the seller just sent it priority mail, the mailman should just leave it for you.
But if the seller added signature confirmation, and you weren't home to sign then the slip is left for you to come to the post office to pick it up.
did you go to the PO the same day you got the slip? maybe the letter is still in his truck, if not ask the seller if they added insurance too, were they expensive tickets?
