Printing DISigns at Kinko's... details...

This may have been addressed on here recently, and if so, I do apologize. Several weeks ago I asked a question about where I could have all these wonderful DISigns printed out, since I have such a crappy printer at home. I ended up downloading the images to a flash drive and my DH printed them on his printer onto cardstock. I was happy with most of them but the coloring on a few were not all that great. So... tonight we took the flash drive to Kinko's, along with everything else we printed out to have them all laminated.

They will either print the images from the flash drive for you for $1.50 each, or you can print them yourself for .99 each plus .20/min on their computer. They had NO PROBLEM with us printing Disney images. We chose the DIY route, but it ended up being a little more expensive because their computer was so slow. We only printed 5 images but by the time we got everything figured out, it took 15 minutes. We then used their scissors and paper cutter to trim the images down to the size/shape we needed them, and then they did the laminating for 1.99/sheet. On the larger size (approx 7x9 and up) they used the really nice, heavy-weight lamination. On the smaller sizes (all my Mickeyheads, for example), they put two to a page to save us some money and the lamination was not quite as thick/heavy, but still OK.

All total for around 20 magnets for our door, we spent about $36, which is CRAZY for us because we're so tight we aren't booking any excursions or doing ANYTHING extra on our cruise!! But I know the kids are gonna love our door, and several of the magnets will be things they can hang in their rooms when we get back. I also did a few for my in-laws who are going with us.

Just wanted to post all these details for others who may be wanting/needing to go somewhere to print stuff out, and need some idea of the cost. I couldn't find this info ANYWHERE when I needed it!!

Just a heads up...for some. Most national chains like Kinkos and Staples will not print Disney images as it is illegal to profit from the sell of Disney images. You will on occasion find a store or employee that will print Disney images because they aren't fimiliar with the laws and/or haven't been told by the store manager that they can't print Disney images. All stores as far as I have found will laminate and bind things you print with Disney images, they just won't print them.

I thought I would post a quick warning so no one gets frustrated when they go to their local Kinkos and they won't print Disney images. If you want to save yourself a trip, call and ask in advance...but make sure you get the name of the employee that says they will print Disney images for you.

A good example is Kinkos used to have a lot of copy shops near colleges but students were copying their books and other trademarked items and it caused a lot of problems for Kinkos so they moved their stores so they weren't located directly next to colleges.
