Printing directly onto CD/DVD

Does anyone have a printer that does this? I think Epson is the only one with the feature. I've been quite pleased with it when I can get it to work but getting it to work is a HUGE problem.

I'm actually taking the printer back today but was wondering if anyone had success consistantly using the feature. I'm torn between just exchanging mine and getting something different all together and going back to labeling DVDs instead of direct printing.

The direct printing is awesome. But I can only get it to work maybe 1 time out of 100 tries!

And to tie into this, does anyone have a printer they love. The CD/DVD feature IS important to me but I also would like decent photos. For the most part I like taking them to a lab but I do print some at home. I have an HP for my PC and it doesn't work 1/2 the time either.

I have several Epsons that print on a CD. It works for me all the time. Are you allowing enough room in the back so that the tray can slide in and out?

there is tons of room. it isn't even sucking the tray in. it tries and then says 'tray not set right, try again' or a similar error. I'm going to exchange it tonight for another one. It the new one doesn't work, I'll try something else. I REALLY want this feature to work. It's the R340.

just an update - I exchanged the printer tonight and the new one works fine. Printed the backlog of DVDs in record time. Not one error. I just think something was wrong with the feeder on the other one.
