I have a Canon S600 printer. Works just fine. Although I have not been pleased with the way my pics have been turning out lately. I decided to try some ink from inkjets123.com and I am wondering if that is my problem. Black looks like navy and they just are not as vivid as what I am used to. I am using the same paper as usual. Because I am not thrilled lately, I have taken my CDs to Sam's and had them printed out. They look like regular 35 mm photos. I was just wondering if anybody had the same issues using off-brand inks??

I've never used off brand inks myself, but have read numerous artices in photo magazines, they all have said the same thing, stick to the inks made for your printer to get the best quality prints, they also mentioned that of brand inks are more prone to leaing and to clogging the ink jets...

I have always used HP printers, and HP ink. I still think, regardless the quality of the home printer, a lab will do better.

Did just purchase a new one, a 7960, at Sam's, for a super price of $157.

I don't even bother printing my own pics. I use snapfish for that because they use professional printing process that embeds the image onto the paper so that the pics won't run if hit with water.
That and they use Kodak processing, which is the only processing I will use.
