Princesses in Epcot

Hi am wondering if anyone has ever been to the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall in Epcot to see the princesses. If so how are they with the kids and how is the food? This seems like it would be a very reasonable option instead of the castle to meet the princesses. I have read that Belle is even in her yellow ballgown. Is this restraunt impossible to get into too? I can't wait to go I am planning along time in advance and I am bursting at the seams to go on my first visit to the world any tips and advice would be appreciated

We have done both the one at Epcot (Princess Storybook) and at Cinderella's castle. Honestly, if you are not concerned about actually eating in the castle, I would go to the Princess Storybook. The food was better, the cost was cheaper, and the princesses did not seem as rushed. Each princess signed my daughters book, but unlike at the castle they all took time to talk to her. Jasmine actually recognized her from the day before, when we had seen her at the MK near the Aladin carpet ride. Belle was there on our trip, but she was in her blue dress with the white blouse. It can also depend on the princesses that your daughter wants to see. When we went to the castle we saw Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Mary Poppins, and the Fairy Godmother. The one in Epcot we saw Pochohantus, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Mary Poppins, Jasmine, and Mulan. If I had to choose again and I do for next trip, my vote is for the Princess Storybook in Epcot.

I Agree that the Norway Breakfast is better than eating in the Castle. We pretty much do The Princess Storybook Meal on every trip we take now. The food was excellent! And the princesses are so nice to the kids. It usually is kinda crowded, but not impossible to get into. Just make sure you book it in advance!​

We really liked the Princess Story Book. I also liked the Castle, but if I had to chose, I would do Norway. We were very disapointed that Ariel wasn't there when we went. They can't guarantee which princesses will be there, but when I made the reservations, they told me, "Ariel is always there." When we went, it was Belle (in ball gown), Aurora, Jasmine, Snow White and Alice (a princess?). Jasmine and Alice were having an "argument" about which one was everyone's favorite, which was pretty entertaining!

Another vote for Norway. We went last September and saw Cinderella, Belle (blue/white outfit), Jasmine, Sleeping Beauty, and Ariel. I didn't feel rushed at all. Each of the princesses spent a ton of time with us. They posed for a picture with my dd (3) then they posed again while my daughter took their picture with her disposable camera. They were awesome and were even teasing my son (4) about being prince charming. Every princess asked my daughter who her favorite princess was and she kept saying Snow White. They all told us that Snow White would be in Germany in a little while. We were able to leave Norway, walk to Germany and see Snow White too. My daughter was thrilled!!!

I vote for Norway also. When my niece and I went last September, she loved it!!! We saw Belle (yellow gown), Cinderella, Aurora, Mulan and Jasmine. The food was good -- especially the fresh fruit! This is one of the few character meals that we will be doing again this year!

I booked the Epcot princess meal for our upcoming trip! We have only sons, four of them, now 15-25, and all are doing this trip with us. On all our previous trips with younger kids, seeing Mickey was paramount, and obviously princesses were not important to little boys. [although we did do the Castle dinner for our 20th wedding anniversary one time--my DH carried a diamond bracelet for me in his fannny pack all day!]

This time, we have safely accomplished all those "gotta have" classic photos with our boys, and I thought it might be fun to get some of them as young men with a different set of characters--pretty ones! And the buffet-style meals are always a great value for us. Everyone has a good sense of humor, and I'm looking forward to this meal. Time for mom to get a dose of some princess-ness. I also booked the Crystal Palace for the meal, since Pooh is my personal favorite. We'll just have to see Mickey in the parades this time!

I loved our Princess lunch at Akerhus!

The BEST part was that Cinderella was actually THERE that day! And DD6 was dressed as Cinderella because she looks just like her. We had Snow White, Cinderella, Aurora, Pocohontas and Ariel. Plus DD6 got a Dream AND was filmed for some type of commercial. How often does that happen?

The food was very good, even picky eater DH liked it. We called late to get an ADR so I took an early (11:20) lunch.

what should I have my little girls wear? when we go to 1900 Fare Park they will be wearing their disney dresses from BBB. How fancy is this meal? do they need to wear nice dresses? I would love it if someone could show me some pics.
I almost have their outfits planned for the 7 days. Outfits for the day and then for the dinners. I almost have them all disney (a few gymboree) TIA

When we went, the majority of the little girls were dressed in princess dresses. I have some pictures, I'll have to upload them for you.

Ok, here are some pictures. My girls weren't dressed quite as fancy as most of the little girls that were dressed up. Arminda's dresses are all getting too small, and Lydia wanted to wear her Ariel outfit, incase Ariel was there (which she was NOT! )

I have an ADR for breakfast coming up in September (it's for my bday) and it will just be DH and I. I can't wait. It will be my first time. My poor DH. I will owe him a big souvenier. I won't embarass him by dressing up but I am definitely bringing my autograph book.

Hi, we have done them both also. Twice. Norway is the best bet for the more time with the princesses. One time Mary Poppins was even there...not a WDP....but my DD5 was still soooo excited to see her. The food was pretty good also.

There were definately a lot of little ones in their princess outfits! My DD6 dressed up, there was obviously no way in heck to get an 11 year old into a Princess dress

Norway was awesome! The interaction with my DD was priceless. She could hardly breathe, forget about eating. She can't wait to do it again. We had Belle in her gown at breakfast, DD is looking for Ariel with legs so I am hoping that she will be there for dinner.
