Princesses Akershus

there is a photog there but its not added onto photopass-u can buy the pack of pix he takes, they bring pix right to your table during your meal and u can decide .....they give u 4 seconds to look and decide tho so be ready to decide IMMED. yes or no!( we were actually very interested in purchasing even tho my own pix were great, but the server who brought the package to us was so rushed and pushy that we just said no, because he kept saying, do u want them? do u, yes? do u...:confused3 ??? in 4 seconds tops!!

Who takes the pictures and what size(s) do you get for $31? Is there a Photopass photographer there?

It was a set 5x7 picture in an alcove that the Disney photographer took. As Mousekamaddi said, no Photopass photographer and they bring it to the table. There may have been a couple of wallets with it but I don't recall.
We already had a Cinderella one from CRT which was included in the price, so another professional princess pic was not a necessity.

We are going to have lunch there in November. My "little princesses" are 11 and 14, but as long as they want to go, I'm willing to take them. :goodvibes DS16 is not too thrilled, but your pictures show that some of the princesses are awfully pretty, so maybe he'll perk up once we're there!;)

I was just there last week with my DBF, we are both 21... and I loved it. Although I was rather upset Ariel wasnt there :( I realllllly wanted to see her in her human form, haha. We had Belle at the door, and then Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Jasmine, and Mulan came around. Food was so-so, nothing amazing, but if you are looking for pictures/autographs with characters, specifically the Princess, this is DEFINITLY the place to go-- they come to YOU!

Thanks for the pictures! We are headed there for breakfast on our Thanksgiving trip. DD will be 6 and is still so enchanted with the princesses - I want to hold on to this as long as I can! We have done breakfast and lunch at CRT, and dinner at Park Faire so we are excited to try this! Our 1 year old will be more interested in the food I bet!:lmao:

Hi, Belle was in her yellow dress taking pictures as we entered the resturant. Heres a pic in case you wanted to see more. We enjoyed the breakfast a lot.

We have this booked for lunch and we are really looking forward to it. DD's favorites are Belle and Ariel so I hope they are both there but I figure the odds are pretty good that at least one of them will be there so she will be happy. If Cinderella, Belle and Ariel are all there we will have hit the trifecta as far as she is concerned. :)

Does anyone have any food recommendations for the main entree? I am a little nervous about the food but I am sure we will find something. If we order something we don't like will they bring you another entree?

We had lunch there for two years in a row now (since they added Ariel) and both times we had Ariel at the entrance and Belle inside with her blue peasant dress on and one of those two times we also got Cinderella!! I believe Cinderella replaced Jasmine that year.

how do I post a pic? My 3 DD's loved, I mean LOVED this breakfast! If someone helps me post I have lots but won't overwhelm to post them all.

We've been twice-preferred breakfast since it was standard breakfast fare....

Hated dinner :sad2:

Both times though the princess interaction was great :thumbsup2

We went for a dinner. The cold buffet was good, but the meal itself was just ok. Even the dessert didn't seem to have much taste to me. If we were to do another princess dinner, I would try a different one.

The funniest thing was, we waited in line for about 5-10 min to check in. Several people kept trying to push past us b/c "we have reservations." I tried to explain that everyone in line had reservations, but no one would listen to me. Oh well!

That's so funny you said that because that happened to US too and ONLY at that restaurant! I thought it was hysterical the way they made it appear they were the only ones and should have been treated better than everyone else in line :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

We went last september and really liked it. We went for dinner and had Ariel in the beautiful gown greeting you as you entered, then aurora, belle (in blue), jasmine, and cinderella which was a real treat because I wasn't expecting her.

I ate this: Traditional Kjottkaker - with a cauliflower, cheese infused mashed potato, seasonal vegetables and a red wine beet sauce. Its basically meatloaf. It was really good.

BF either had this: Braised Lamb- Served with thyme oil-infused cabbage or
this: Fresh Poached Cod - With seafood and shrimp medley, Julienne Vegetables and Horseradish Mashed Potatoes. I can't remember what he ate.

Dessert was some type of chocolate thing that was ok. I'm not a chocolate fan so I can't really say if it was good or bad. Overall we enjoyed it and would go back again next trip.

My middle DD and her favorite princess Belle. This was at the breakfast and Belle was greating us as we walked in.

We had breakfast there last year and Ariel was not there. She is my DD's absolute favorite. It's the main reason she begs to go to Disney to be with HER Mermaid. If anyone has a good pic of Ariel there in human form can you post it please. I may have to reconsider and go again this year. I had opted for Chef Mickey's this trip. Thanks

I posted a picture of my girls with her on page 1.

She is usually scheduled for lunch and dinner, with Belle in her yellow gown at breakfast, but of course, their schedule is subject to change. We saw her at lunch twice now.

Here's another picture of Ariel with another DISer:

Somehow I missed the earlier pic. Now I have to decide if I tell my DD about this. I already have made my ADRs.

If you do decide to do it just to see Ariel, I still wouldn't tell your DD as there's a chance she won't be there. Her and Belle sometimes switch off.

If you do want to do it to see Ariel then you have a better chance at lunch or dinner. Belle in her yellow dress usually does breakfast.
