Princess Weekend 2023 (Feb 23-26, 2023)

While I know not everyone is a fan the highway miles, I honestly love them (except for the ramps) because I can just do my thing and not worry about people banging into me (except for the chick just after the Epcot entrance or whatever who said “on your right” while shoulder-checking me on my left 🙄)

32nd overall and 4th AG. As expected there were some fast runners. I would have to have gone sub-38 to get 3rd. I finished in 42:53 which is a bit slower than last year but it was warmer this morning than last. Body feels good though. Temps are supposed to be lower tomorrow. So we’ll see.

Hi Everyone, My wife picked up some extra merch that we are going to return tonight as she had a change of mind (including some for me). Before returning, I wanted to see if there was anyone here who may have not been able to make the expo in time or there was an item sold out (we got there very early on Day 1). Disboards has always been good to us so happy to help out. We are staying on property and meet up.

Princess brings some fast runners. I placed 215 overall and 7th in my age group. 3rd place ran 45:57 😮

Has anyone ever sped walk and let themselves get swept early? Covid did a number on my body- just tested negative less than 2 weeks ago. Debating doing that for half versus just not going in morning since I paid for it? Don't want to risk running and doing damage to my body since I have other races this year when I can train back up to speed where I was. 🙃

We are here on site for another 7 days for park fun so just curious

Does anyone know who that character was right before the end? It’s probably something I should know, but I do not.

I haven’t personally, but I have read stories of people being swept fairly early in the race. So you could walk until you are swept, stay safe, and then they’ll shuttle you to the finish. They will also offer you the HM medal if you want it.

What is a realistic time corral C will be released tomorrow morning?

With an on time start of 5:00am and a usual release rate, somewhere around 5:08-5:12 is a good guess for the front of C and maybe as late as 5:30 for the back. Corral C, as a guess from prior races using similar estimate structure, has about 30-35% of the field.

Depends on just how well you’re feeling and how fast you can walk. A decent walk is faster than a 16 minute mile, which means that if you are up for the distance, you can do it walking without getting swept.
