I'm considering buying this for my wife and twin 8 year old daughters. The price for the 3 of them is around $325.00. I talked to my wife about it and as the penny pincher she is, said no-way! I want to do it for my girls. Here are my concerns......

1. Are my DD's to old for this
2. Is it really worth the price?
3. Are the dolls exclusive to this party?

I think they would love it but the money is kinda steep although it is within budget.

Also, does anyone know of a cool place to get re-hitched? I heard the Ice Cream Spcial does it. If so has anyone done it there?

Thanks

I don't know about the rehitching...hopefully some one will clue us in cuz I would like to know about that myself!

I went to the Princess Tea Party on jan 28th and I LOVED it. Is it worth it? Hmmmm...well, honestly, I do think everything at WDW is overpriced, you know what I mean? I could see my DD (she is 6 year old) get a little bored during the singing...but overall she really enjoyed it and it is very special. I will ask her next year if she wants to do it again and if she does, I will shell out the bucks again. They are only little once...I know that in just a few years she will no longer be interested. I think 8 year olds will still enjoy it. I saw older girls there. Most girls wore princess dresses...the ones who didn't almost looked a little out of place.

If you do a search on these boards you will find tons of comments and some great reviews from people who are a bit more eloquent than I! :earboy2:

I took my dd (3) there in December...and, that is all she can talk about!!! We are doing it again in April, and we will probably do it many more times. Yes, it is expensive. But, it is such a "one of a kind" experience!!!

The dolls are...well, not great. Aurora looks like she has a bad "fake tan" and could use some color on her eyes and lips...but, yes..they are exclusive to this event...and...dd loves it because it was given to her by Aurora.

It is the CUTEST thing ever, and I think your dd's might enjoy the time and attention they get from Aurora and Rose Petal.

It is something we will try to do frequently until my dd says, "no more". I don't think that will happen anytime soon.

I may be wrong, but I don't think the dolls are exclusive to this event - aren't they the basic doll that can be bought all over wdw, with the Aurora outfit on it? We saw other outfits for sell also, but we wanted to keep the doll as just Aurora. DD absolutely loves the doll. princess:

We really had a hard time spending that much money - it was a major splurge for us. DH also went with us, adding to the cost. DD was 2 weeks away from being 7, and the tea party was her favorite part of our trip, our first. Aurora is her favorite, which is why we spent the money. I'm glad we did it, but I also wouldn't do it again, we saw it as a one time event. We did it mainly to guarantee that DD would see Aurora (at the time it could be booked before 90 days). We ended up also doing CRT & PSB, and also saw Aurora with Prince Phillip at MVMCP. We actually had more one-on-one time at MVMCP than at the tea.

DD enjoyed every aspect of the tea party - pouring her "tea", the sugar cubes, etc. were a new experience for her. The pictures we took are just adorable.

bigcrit, since this is something you'd really like to do, have your wife read some of the reviews. Here's a thread that has a link to a really good review

Allears also has reviews.

I'm pretty sure I read that Garden Grill stopped doing the re-hitching ceremony.

Well thanks for replying everyone. I will pass the reviews onto her. I think they would like it alot.
