Princess Tea Party

So I booked this for DD for the bargain price of $450 and now Im having second thoughts....worth it, or not? Opinions please....

We did it in January. Just my daughter and I were about $330. It was nice and a once in a lifetime opportunity. However, I felt like they were throwing gifts at my daughter to make it worth it. She got a doll, a bracelet, a rose , a bag to hold her stuff, a crown, stickers, a wand, authograph page, picture with her doll.. All in about an hour and half. That was a lot of presents! My 5 year old was overwhelmed by all of the stuff. The food was tasty but not worth the money. We had breakfast before and needed lunch later.

We are leaning toward doing this with our DD when we go in October. Can anyone who has done it recently tell me if the doll truly is exclusive to the event, or if it's the same doll that can be purchased in stores? Also, are there Photopass photographers there to capture the character interaction?

Good questions

When we did it there was no photopass photographer in the lunch area. We got pictures of the parade and group...trying to remember..and some as we were leaving but that was it. My daughter LOVED her own tea pot and showing the characters her shoes. She was more impressed with the rose than the doll. (or anything else for that matter. The bracelet was too big for her) I have never seen the doll in a store..that said I have never looked for it either. It is a nice doll and reminds me a little of an American Girl doll. About the same size and I think she has a soft body. (I will check when I get home)
The food was ok..nothing to write home about but not bad either.
Overall I felt the money was worth it. Would we do it again?? Yes if I had the extra money and it didn't take something away from our trip.

I thought the doll was the same one we bought in the stores, so thats good to know. I was excited for her to get the rose though :)

I have never seen the doll in any Disney or toy store. He body is soft and her arms, legs, and head are plastic. She is very similar to an American Doll – in fact I remember looking to see if she was an American Doll made for Disney. She wears the same crown they give your daughter.
My best advice on this is – if the cost is a burden then don’t do it. I was staying as a guest so I didn’t have to pay for a room. That allowed me to have some ‘Mad Money’ and I used that to pay for this. Yes it is a lot of money but I chucked it up to a one time experience we will never forget and it’s ‘Disney’– paid for it and didn’t think about the cost again. If you are going to sit there and judge if it was worth the money then you are probably going to be upset you spent the money and not enjoy yourself.
For me and my daughter the doll, bracelet, rose, wand, stickers, and food didn’t make the tea worth the money spent…what made it worth the money was having tea with my daughter and watching the staff make her feel truly special and like a true Princess! I can’t put a price on her smile and giggles!

There was not a PP photog in the tea but each girl got a picture with the doll (one that's hadn't been partially undressed/hair destroyed already ;) ) at the end before they went to the shop for the stickers and BFF certificate thing. This was in September '14

I just got the price for 2 children (ages 3 & 7) and 1 adult - $$568.62. It is $234.98 per child & $98.66 for adults per the Poly IPO and my Visa charge. Many of the websites (not official Disney) have the price of the Princess Tea Party incorrectly listed.
