So I booked this for DD for the bargain price of $450 and now Im having second thoughts....worth it, or not? Opinions please....

It's way too much money IMO. You could practically do Cinderella's Royal Table, Akershus, AND the Garden View tea room for the same price. However, only you can decide if it's worth it for your family.

yeah, Im thinking about cancelling and going for DQ instead. Are there any other fun, non park ideas for a 7 year old Princess lover?

Called to book, and told them no way after I heard the cost.

For a tea party shouldn't cost me the price of an annual pass!

Yeah, i couldn't believe the adult chaperones have to pay like $150, a piece :(

We're booked for it in June. It looks really wonderful. Will be a one-time only thing anyway. The doll and extras are pretty special. I've read great reviews FWIW.

My DD6 and I did it was $250.00. Totally worth it then! I wanted to take my youngest DD when we go next year, but the price has me rethinking it. The GF also has a tea party with Alice for around $40.00. You could do that and CRT and still come out ahead.

I cancelled today. It was $430 for the tea party or $330 for a 7/8 hours at MK...I went with MK :) Thanks for all the input!

Wow! GF tea party with Alice sounds like thrift store prices in comparison! At $40 that's a great idea instead!

Right now I have it booked for my DD (4) and my mom, it is very expensive for sure, my mothers rationale is that the doll is about $120 so take that right off the top (lol dont you love mickey math), what gets me is the price per adult when an adult is required. I think at the very least ONE adult should be included in the price and then charge for each extra adult. I am holding on to my reservation for now, but still might back out.

My family is comfortable spending money for food and dining experiences.

For instance, my wife & I enjoy Victoria & Alberts about every other visit.

But the cost of the Tea Services do seem to be a bit pricey.

If a person were interested in a deluxe Tea Service at 5th Avenue's Pierre Hotel in NYC, the cost is half that of the Grand Floridian.

Thankfully, my daughter is not (yet) interested in these 'uber' experiences and we are not one's to indulge for the sake of indulging.

These do seem like fun, but they do seem expensive.....and likely sell out every day.

The adult cost is what got me too. I had no problem paying $200 for my little one, but to pay over $100 to be a chaperone, was not cool.

$330 includes one child and one adult. You have to pay separately for any additional adults.

We did this for our oldest DD on her first trip and we felt it was worth it. That was 4 years ago and she still talks about it. When our youngest DD goes for her first trip, we plan to do it for her as well. But this isn't something that they will be doing every visit for the rest of their lives, so the cost doesn't bother us as much. There is a fairly limited window for this, so the memory is worth the cost for us.

? When we did it the price was for the child and adult. It still states that on the website. It use to be $250 - not sure what it is now. If I remember a boy could attend for $80.00.
I am glad I did it with my daughter - it was a 'Mother & Daughter' special morning. I personally don't think the doll and gifts were a big deal and/or worth the cost. The doll currently is under my daughter's bed. That said I do think the interaction and small group is worth the cost. My daughter felt special and I have some treasured photos of her waving to the people in the GF as they did the parade.
If you do decidie to do it - invenst in a princess gown that is not from the disney store. My Mother made my daughters and she got TONS of attention and 'stood out' more...which added to her feeling special.
