Princess Storybook or GG??? Or both?

Ok, so I was thrilled to get an ADR for CRT, so now I'm trying to decide if I should switch my princess storybook meal for GG at Epcot. Or should I do both?? We have 3 boys (7,5,3) and 1 little girl (22months at travel). I like that Princess Storybook includes a picture packet, but I'm not sure my boys will like it.
Any suggestions???

We've done all of these meals, CRT for breakfast, and GG and Akershus for dinner.

Your daughter is a little young to appreciate any of them, so I'd really consider what the boys would like.

CRT is nice because the castle is beautiful, and the boys will get a small sword as a souvenir. It's very expensive though, and I doubt your boys will care too much about the princesses.

Akershus has great dessert and a nice buffet of salads and such, but it's the one meal I've ever had at WDW which was truly inedible, due to horribly overcooked salmon. The photo would be nice, and it's much cheaper than CRT.

We were not impressed with GG when we dined there last year. Lots of people here love it, but for us, it was mediocre food and the booth was very crowded with five of us. Now your kids would probably prefer the characters there, though because kids of all ages love Mickey, and Chip 'n' Dale were really funny. My kids prefer Chef Mickey's, so that's where we're going for the fourth trip in a row; all of them requested it.

My DD and I go to CRT by ourselves and let the boys ride Space Mountain. We did this last year, and we're doing it again in about five weeks (can't wait!). This makes everyone happy. The boys don't have to sit through an excruciating (for them) princess event, I save some cash, and DD and I get to be girls. You might consider waiting until the next trip and doing something like that with your DD. If your boys are like mine, they will not like Akershus or CRT.

I wish I could be more helpful.

I think CRT is enough....considering your DD is so young:goodvibes

I would do Chef Mickey's or Liberty Tree Tavern.

I have only done Garden Grill and I can tell you I didn't like it. Service was good and the rotating was cool, but the characters were out of character and the food was horrible.

I'm sure your boys would probably like this one better than the storybook meal at Akershus, but I would not eat at GG again....any other Character meals you might be considering? Chef Mickeys was great and good for girls and boys.

We have done Akershus the past two trips and really enjoy it. The food is *eh* but the princess interaction is great. That being said, I would try GG this time. We ate there in May at really enjoyed it. It's not gourmet food, but it was tasty, the service was good, and the characters were the best of any character meal we have been to! I think because of the layout, there are only tables on two sides of you, which makes it easier for the characters to focus only on your kiddos. Very enjoyable for us!

Thanks everyone for responding!
I think I will probably cancel the princess storybook, but I don't know what to do then...
Can we get to Chef Mickey's easily from Epcot?? Any other places near Epcot with character meals? I'm trying to plan for our Epcot day.
So far, we already have :
Donald's Breakfast Safari
CRT
Sci-Fi
Princess Storybook???
Crystal Palace

We also need one more ADR for another day we will be at AK.

Help!?

It's very easy to get to Chef Mickey's from Epcot. Just take a Monorail and transfer at the TTC for the resort line and then exit at the Contemporary. Chef Mickey's is very close to the monorail station right inside the lobby at the Contemporary.

I'm not sure if you're looking for breakfast or dinner, but if you want breakfast, Cape May at the Beach Club also has characters. You can walk there from Epcot. However, that's not a character meal at dinner.

You didn't ask about it, but Coral Reef is also nice for kids, and it's right in Epcot. There are no characters, but you'll can see the aquarium.

I say hop on the monorail and try Chef Mickey's. Although not a character dinner, Ohana has kids games during dinner and is right off the monorail in the Poly. If you have park hoppers then you could try Liberty Tree in MK.
